Jung POV
I didn't want to lie but Xiang's right, I can't always avoid Mei and if I keep avoiding her, it might ruin the little connection I've made with her recently.
"Boss". Clark, my right hand man said.
I spent most of my time in my company during the days I avoided Mei.
I own conglomerate company other than Starlings Company and I'm also an underboss, my grandpa as no awareness on such activities I indulge in.
The reason why Xiang had told me not to express affection to Mei Publicly, is because I have a lot of enemies as the an under ground boss.
"Clark do you have any leads?". I asked
"Yes Boss".
I'm still digging into the car accident case although it was recorded as a road accident, I find it oddly strange.
"Boss, the man who had hit Miss Mei with a car was found dead the night of the accident". So this is their way of preventing information from getting licked.
"His death was recorded as an act of suicide".
"Look into his case, find out the last person he meet up with". There most be some kind of evidence, I do have an idea on who might be responsible.
"Yes Boss". She bowed slightly before leaving.
I achieved my position as an Underground Boss at 19yrs when I was studying abroad. I wanted to prove that I was strong, I didn't want to meet my end the way my parents had met theirs.
I found their death suspicious, so I looked into it and just as I had expected, their death was planned.
"I'll need to visit Mei family and give a proper invite". I'll settle this with Mei tonight.
Mei POV
I don't get why Jung and Mr.Chau insisted on Chang being my driver.
"Good morning Madam Rose". I greeted the woman conducting the antenatal classes.
"Good morning, I see your husband insisted on you coming". She said, surprised at my arrival. Madam Rose told me, that I was still in my early stage and that all I need to do is stay healthy and observant but Jung, told me to attend classes for safety measures.
"What to do, I'll be attending classes". I sighed inwardly, at least I won't be trapped at home.
"Good morning Madam Rose". Clara who apparently is in her second trimester greeted Madam Rose.
"Thank goodness you'll still be attending classes, I couldn't help but imagine how lonely I would have been without you". She hugged me.
I'm that kind of a person who makes lot's of friends within a short period of time.
"Although I'm not that happy that I'll have to get off bed early and live the comfort of my home". Like all my sleep time, gone.
I noticed the slight change in Clara expression when listing the disadvantage of coming for classes.
"But, you're the only reason why I'm here". I gave her positive smile.
"Sigh". Is this how I'm gonna behave when am at that stage.
