Eve and Randolf came to a sudden halt as another group of royal guards blocked their path. The royal guards of Eldara were alerted when they saw Averion's knights lying on the ground near the entrance gate.
Randolf's fighting stance compelled the royal guards to unsheath their swords.
But before the clash could happen, the royalty who was being escorted stepped forward to speak to Eve.
"What a pleasant surprise, Princess Eve. I thought you couldn't make it tonight." Princess Thalia greeted Eve with her elated voice.
Eve gently tapped Randolf's shoulder, signaling him to put down his sword. He quickly obeyed her.
Thalia also motioned for her guards to stand aside. "Can I have a moment with you, Princess Eve?"
Eve simply nodded. She was curious as to why Princess Thalia wanted to talk to her.
