There were fifteen royal guards stationed at the palace entrance including the group leader. If Randolf continued to provoke them, they would retaliate. Even though the leader had become Eve's hostage, the royal guards started to surround Eve and Randolf.
They tried to intimidate them using their number. It would be Fourteen versus Two! Besides, they thought Princess Eve was only bluffing.
"Drop your sword, Princess. If His Majesty learns about this, you will be subjected to punishment. The grand banquet is a very important gathering to honor the Crown Prince of Eldara. You shall leave quietly." The leader of the guards tried to sway her.
