"Do you like her?" Jungkook asks. "I mean, really like her?"
Taehyung pauses for a second before answering him.
"I think I do," Taehyung admits softly. "I don't know how to explain it. But I can't stop thinking about her. Even when I'm not with her, she's still there."
"That makes sense," Jungkook replies.
Taehyung waits for Jungkook to continue; Jungkook just turns and leaves though.
Tzuyu posts about it the next day. She explains the situation to her fans and apologizes for the trouble. She tells them she hopes they'll be patient and not do anything drastic. She tells them it's not their faults for misunderstanding. She asks them to trust her and know that she would never let them down.
The comments roll in; they're thanking her for explaining and asking her not to apologize. They're telling her they'll stand with her no matter what. They're asking her to stay strong and know she's not alone.
Taehyung scrolls through her Instagram page; he looks through the comments and smiles softly at what he reads. She's getting so much love and support from the fans; they're telling her she's not alone, and they'll support her. They're asking her not to worry about it. They're thanking her for trusting them with the truth.
It's just a few days later when Jungkook makes a call to Taehyung's room. They're both exhausted from a long day of practice; Jungkook has a bag of food in his hand when he enters Taehyung's room.
"Hungry?" Jungkook greets as he walks over and sets the bag down on the table. "I brought dinner."
Taehyung glances up and smiles softly; he pulls out a chair and waits for Jungkook to sit down. Jungkook pulls out a chair for himself and plops down in it. He pulls out some food from the bag and passes it over to Taehyung.
"Thanks, kookie," Taehyung says softly.
"No problem," Jungkook replies with a smile. "How was your day?"
"It was good," Taehyung responds. "I practiced and then went out. How was your day?"
"Good," Jungkook nods. "Just practice."
"How was Tzuyu?" Taehyung teases as he nudges Jungkook playfully with his elbow. "Was she nice to you?"
"She was great," Jungkook laughs. "She told me she was going to talk to the fans today."
"That's good," Taehyung smiles. "I hope she was able to help."
"I think she did," Jungkook continues. "I heard a few of them talking earlier, and it sounded like they were listening to her."
"That's really good," Taehyung states. "I know they'll listen to her. They love her too much not to."
"I guess," Jungkook responds. "I hope they're not too hard on her for trying to help us."
"Tzuyu's strong," Taehyung reassures. "She can handle anything they throw at her."
"I hope you're right," Jungkook says softly. "She doesn't deserve it."
"None of us deserve it," Taehyung counters. "We're all just people. They're just fans; we owe them nothing."
"They do love us though," Jungkook reminds. "They want to see us happy."
"I know that," Taehyung agrees. "I'm just saying they don't have the right to dictate our happiness for us."
"I guess you're right about that," Jungkook smiles.
They continue eating in comfortable silence for a few minutes before Jungkook speaks up again.
Taehyung turns and looks at Jungkook; he waits for Jungkook to speak up again.
"You know, you could always join us," Jungkook offers with a shy smile.
Taehyung looks away quickly; he clears his throat before speaking.
"I don't know," Taehyung comments softly. "Would you like me to?"
"Yeah, I would," Jungkook affirms. "I think she would too. I just think we should talk to her about it first. She might have something to say about it."
"Yeah," Taehyung nods. "That's a good idea."
Jungkook reaches out and grabs Taehyung's hand; he squeezes it softly in his.
"I don't want this to come between us," Jungkook reassures him. "If she doesn't want you, I'm still okay with it. You're my best friend; you always will be. Don't worry about anything."
Taehyung squeezes back and looks over at Jungkook.
"Of course," Taehyung promises. "I would never let this come between us."
"Good," Jungkook grins. "Let's go talk to her then."
Jungkook stands up and tugs on Taehyung's arm; Taehyung stands up and follows behind him. Jungkook leads the way to her room, and Taehyung stays right on Jungkook's heels. Jungkook stops at her door and knocks lightly.
"Come in," she calls out from inside. "I'm not busy."
Jungkook pushes the door open slowly and steps inside. Taehyung walks in behind him and closes the door behind him.
"Hi," Jungkook greets with a grin. "We thought we would come over and see you."
"Oh, I know," she replies as she stands up to greet them. "I'm glad you came."
Taehyung reaches out and pulls her into a hug; she hugs him back and then turns to Jungkook. Jungkook hugs her too, and then they step away and look at each other.
"We're actually here to talk," Jungkook explains. "About something."
"Of course," she responds as she walks over and sits down on the bed. "Go ahead and tell me."
"Taehyung was just wondering if he could join us," Jungkook states softly. "And I said it's up to you to decide."
Taehyung takes a step closer; he stares down at her and waits for her to speak. She looks up at him with a small smile.
"Taehyung," she greets softly. "I thought you might come to me about this."
"I didn't know what to do," Taehyung explains. "I just thought—"
She stands up and takes a few steps towards him. Taehyung freezes and looks down at her; she steps up and presses her lips against his softly.
"I'd like that," she says as she pulls away and smiles at him. "I think you would fit with us perfectly."
Taehyung can't stop smiling; he steps back and pulls her against him. Jungkook walks over too; he reaches out and pulls both of them in for a hug. The three of them hug together and sway back and forth softly.
They're not worried anymore about what the fans will think. They're only worried about being with each other. They just want to be happy with each other.
They hug like that for a while before they all pull away and sit down next to each other. Taehyung sits on the far end with Jungkook in the middle and Tzuyu on the other side.
"I'm really glad," Jungkook announces. "I was worried you'd say no."
"No," she responds. "Like I said, I thought you might come."
Jungkook squeezes Taehyung's shoulder and smiles over at him.
"Good," Jungkook announces with a grin. "I'm really happy."
"Me too," she says softly as she leans over and kisses him.
Taehyung watches them kiss; he doesn't mind at all. He watches them until they pull away from each other.
"What now?" Taehyung inquires softly.
"Now we make sure no one knows about it," Tzuyu responds. "We keep it our secret."
