"What is it, EVE?" Terry asked, his voice low and urgent.
"It's a memo from your father to one of his top executives," EVE replied, her digital form flickering with concern. "It mentions a project codenamed 'Eclipse', and it seems to be connected to The Shadow Syndicate."
Terry's eyes widened as he processed the information. Eclipse? What could that possibly be?
"EVE, can you dig deeper?" Terry asked, his mind racing with possibilities.
EVE nodded, her digital form blurring as she worked her magic. "I'm on it, Terry. But I have to warn you, this could get ugly. If your father is involved with The Shadow Syndicate, we could be looking at a massive conspiracy."
Terry steeled himself, his heart pounding in his chest. He knew that he was taking a risk, but he couldn't just sit back and do nothing. He had to know the truth, no matter what it took.
As EVE continued to dig, Terry's phone buzzed with an incoming call from his father.
"Terry, I need to talk to you about something," his father said, his voice low and serious.
Terry's heart skipped a beat as he hesitated. Should he answer the call, or should he let it go to voicemail?
"EVE, what do I do?" Terry asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
EVE's digital form flickered with concern. "I don't know, Terry. But I think you should be careful. If your father is involved with The Shadow Syndicate, he may not be what he seems."
Terry took a deep breath and made a decision. "I'll answer the call," he said, his voice firm.
As he answered the call, Terry's heart was racing with anticipation. What would his father say? And what would Terry do next?
