Raindrops slide down the window pane. Dev and Kavya cannot go out.
"Let's make vegetable stamp pictures," says Mrs Roy.
"Vegetable stamp? What is that?" Dev asks.
"May I invite Jacob and Priya too?" Kavya asked in excitement.
"Of course," agrees Mrs Roy.
Jacob, Dev, Priya and Kavya watch as Mrs Roy makes the stamps. She slices some capsicum, potatoes and lady's fingers in halves.
"Squeeze out some poster colours in a plate," she says to the children.
Jacob pushes out red blobs. Dev takes out green ones. Kavya and Priya make blue and yellow rings on the plate.
Mrs Roy dips the cut lady's finger in the red paint first.stamps the paper with it. She makes a red flower with five petals. Then she makes a row of flowers on the sheet.

Dev makes a car wheel with capsicum stamp. Kavya stamps red fish from the potato slice in a blue pond. She adds some yellow ducks with the lady's finger stamp. soon the children have beautiful pictures. What a wonderful rainy day! I didn't know that vegetables can be used to make so beautiful pictures," Priya
says.
