After sorting out my new stuff I notice another Ratacorb coming towards me this one looking slightly faster than the other one.
Identify
[Race: Ratacorn 1*
Lvl: 3
Health: 30/30]
Ok, level 3 monster that's fine I now know how to kill these little shits I watch as it keeps running at me I dodge it and stab just like the last one, except this one doesn't immediately die from my sword thrust but bleeds out a couple seconds later.
[You have killed a lvl 3 Ratacorn
You have gained 210 Exp
You have leveled up {Dodge and thrust} by one level
You have leveled up
You have 10 unused AP]
After I killed this one 3 more show up but I kill them the same way as the others. A couple more show up and it seems like they will until I make them extinct.
"Bring it on you little fucks"
After an hour they finally stop coming at me, I think I ended up killing 30 and boy did that pay off.
…
[you have killed 33 Ratacorns lvl 3-5
You have gained 7,400 Exp
You have leveled up every skill by 4 levels
You have leveled up 6 times

Holy shit I could probably run 100 meters a second. I look over seeing something out of the corner of my eye, what appears to be a better chest than what I opened earlier. I walk over to it and look closely, it's obviously better made than the other one with the grooves and some parts of it metal, made with rich dark wood.
[Uncommon system chest - Open?]
Yes
[you have received
Leather boots of speed +6 agility (uncommon)
20x bags of gator jerky]
Sweet boots that make me faster, after getting them out of my inventory I put them on and marvel at the auto fit feature that perfectly fit my foot size. They are definitely the lightest and most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, made of a soft leather and cushioning sole, these really are shoes made by an advanced futuristic system. I look around and truly take in the scenery now that I don't have any Ratacorns coming after me. I'm surrounded by huge 1000ft trees and 100ft in diameter, beautiful red bark covers the tree and lush green leaves dress it giving a nice canopy for the ground and casting darkness into the forest around me. Well I better head in there if I ever want to level up to 10. Something important must happen if way more Exp is needed for this level, maybe I'll even get a class.
…
After jogging through the forest for an hour I finally come across more monsters to fight. It looks like a beefier goblin, standing a head taller than me and arms the size of my thighs it's definitely a strength build. Probably a Hobgoblin.
Identify
[Race: Hobgoblin
Lvl: 10
Health: 500
- An evolved version of the 'goblin', and definitely meaner and stronger of its smaller cousin]
So I was right it is a Hobgoblin. What does it mean by evolved? Can I do that at level 10? Feeling more excited at the prospect of a class and evolution, I rush at the giant creature. I quickly arrive infront of it and use slash at its Achilles. Fuck that hurt, what happened why didn't it go through its leg? Looking at my sword I see it barely even went in and was now stuck.
Bam.
I get hit by the hulking mass of flesh launched by its massive strength, thankfully holding onto my sword as it's free of its body, I slam into a tree and get dizzy.
[You have lost 50 hp]
Well crap that's not good, looking at the Hobgoblin coming closer to me I stand up and sprint using my full speed and use thrust aiming for its neck. As my sword enters through its neck and out the back I'm punched in the stomach, barely holding on I force my sword to stay in there hoping it will eventually bleed out but it's getting difficult just from one punch. It brings its arm back, appearing to struggle now, and rams its knuckle into my ribs. Yea that's defiantly a crack I just heard.
[You have 2 broken ribs, you have also lost 70 health
90/220 left]
I need it to die quick or I'll go out with it. Suddenly it grabs my throat trying to choke me. I keep hold of my sword and force it further in more and finally after 15 agonizing seconds it dies. Gasping for air I ignore my notifications for now and just lie on the soft green grass and eat some of my jerky. After many minutes of breathing and eating food I sit up but notice I have no pain in my ribs? Did they already heal?
[Health - 200/220
Thank God I regenerate fast or I'd be in a pickle. Let's check my notifications.
[You have slain lvl 10 Hobgoblin
You have received 3,000 Exp
Pain resistance has leveled up 2
You have learned the skill {Regenerate}]
Focusing on my new skill I see what it does.
[Regenerate - (Uncommon) lvl1
Details - Regenerate your body after a fierce battle and maybe even some limbs at a higher level (Regenerates 10 hp every 5 minutes outside of combat)]
It may not heal me in a fight right now, maybe at a higher level, so for now I just need to survive my fights and I'll live how wonderful. I need to find more of these Hobgoblins to kill they give some serious Exp, I just need a couple more for level 10. Adrenaline and excitement for this new world flow through my body as I head off further into the forest.
