The soft sound of footsteps stirred Chase awake from his brief nap on the couch. He blinked groggily, his gaze drawn to the twins as they emerged from the bathroom. Lyra, dressed in pink pajamas, was snuggled sleepily in Lila's arms, her face peaceful and relaxed. In contrast, Aurora, the older twin, seemed full of energy, her light blue pajamas swishing as she walked.
Spotting Chase awake, Aurora walked over and tapped his pants to get his attention. "How do I make them do cool things?" she asked, pointing to the pink chains that hovered near her.
Chase chuckled. "You're already making them do cool things. What do you want them to do?"
Aurora tapped her chin thoughtfully, mimicking a deep-in-thought pose. Suddenly, the chains, as if responding to her unspoken desires, wrapped gently around her like a basket and began to lift her off the ground. Aurora floated in the air, giggling with delight.
