Leto had settled in rather nicely over the past week. The twins adored her, often playing with both her and Hecate. Upon first seeing Leto, Hecate had been surprised—so much so that she briefly suspected Chase had used his powers to free her. The idea that Hera had granted Leto freedom of her own volition was almost unthinkable.
Leto had been trying to adjust to modern life, but adapting to new technology and speech patterns was proving difficult. Her English was much worse than Diana's had been, and while her accent was faint, her vocabulary was severely limited. Alice, lacking a Greek bloodline, could barely understand her, leading to minimal interaction between them. However, Alice had taken an interest in learning Ancient Greek from Leto, finding it unexpectedly enjoyable. Leto, in turn, became something of a mother figure within the household, bringing a warm presence that everyone appreciated—including herself.
