Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

While I dream my body is completely undisturbed while riding in the back of the truck. The older man driving glances in his rear view mirror seeing the stunning woman sleeping back there. "I can't believe she would just sleep with a care in the world. Isn't she worried I would do something to her.?"

As I am laying on the back of the truck's rear glass window, he once again noticed the armor I am wearing. "With that kind or protection I guess she doesn't need to worry about anything. She is probably stronger than she looks." The man takes his eyes off my sleeping form and focuses on driving once again. "Not something I need to worry about anyway. Just got to wake her up when we get there, that's all."

After a few hours of driving, the man came up to a good intersection of roads in the southern part of Wales. He guessed it was probably a good place to drop the woman off at. He pulls over to the side of the road and turns off the truck. "I wonder what someone with her status needs to do all the way out here." The man looks around the surrounding area. Fields of green grass and trees, with tall mountain sized hills stretched as far as the eyes can see. "Well, it's not really my problem. She wanted to come out here, I'm sure she's got a good reason to. I don't really like butting into other people's problems. I guess it's time to wake her up."

The man gets out of the truck, closing the door behind him. And walks to the back of the truck. He sees the woman just sleeping in the back of his truck. There's something there that just demands respect from him when he looks at her. But enough about that, It's time. "Hey miss, wake up! It's time to go."

I hear a voice calling out to me, my dream of my waifus on FGO slowing falling away from me. No, mommy Morgan! Come back! I jolted back into reality, opening my eyes. I see the beautiful blue sky above me, something I missed in my last life. [ Notice, it is time for you to wake up now. ] I am already awake now, but thank you all the same Raphael. I sit up relishing the feeling in the light breeze on my face. I notice the older gentlemen standing next to the edge of the truck looking at me. "Thank you sir for waking me. I take it that we have arrived in southern Wales?"

The man is knocked out of his stupor at my words. "Yes miss, we are at a good spot for where you are trying to go. You just want to follow that road south and you will end up around where you are looking to go." I nod at his words looking at the road sign showing that he is correct. My light green glowing eyes survey the surroundings, taking in the familiar landscape around me. "This does take me back to a much simpler time." I mumble to myself thinking about times long past. When I grew up with Kay and Sir Ector. Only having to worry about training and not sure else. Until Merlin came along that is.

I get up and hop out of the truck, my armor rattling as I do. I turn towards the man as I straighten myself out. "Thank you again for your kindness. I will repay this one day I assure you." I hold out my gauntleted hand for the man to take. "It's no problem miss. I was coming out this way anyway and it took no time out of my day to help you." He reaches out his hand, shaking it in kind. I nod at that pulling my hand away. "I will be on my way then. I wish you well in these coming times." I turn away from the man and start the rest of my journey on foot. I hear the man start his car as I walk, and drive away down one of the other roads at the intersection. He was a kind man, I wish most people were like him.

Around twenty minutes past of me just walking, and I come across a familiar road. "If I remember correctly this road here will lead me back to Camelot or at least what remains of it in this day and age. What do you think will be left of it Raphael?" I cross my arms under my chest in thought. [ There would be a possibility of foundations, stone walls, or remnants of structures that provide insights into its architecture or layout. Historical records could also be found potentially, but as they say time erodes all things. ] Now that I think about it, there probably wouldn't be much at all since it would have already been found and talked about by now right.

More time passed as I traverse through familiar surroundings. Times of long pass flashing threw my memories, where my knights and I would fight and battle for our kingdom. Looking back on it now, I should have talked more with my knights. I never interacted with anyone for anything besides work I had to do for my kingdom, or orders I gave out during a campaign. I had to be the perfect king, or at least that's what I thought. Ultimately my coldness to everyone around me eventually brought an end to my kingdom when I tried to save Mordred from the position that I undertook. I didn't deem her ready enough because I knew she wasn't ready for the kind of burden being king meant.

But if I just spent more time with and around her and tried to explain and teach what it meant to be king. Maybe none of it would have happened. If I ever chose to build my kingdom again, I won't make the same mistakes twice. I will interact with the people and my friends. Take suggestions and not act like I have to be the perfect king. Because nobody is perfect, especially me. I wonder if they would still follow me even after everything that happened. What would they say to me? Would they scorn me for what happened? I might never know.

I come back to my senses as I notice the air around me change. The feeling of mana in the air is potent in this area. Even though the age of gods has long come to an end there is still a noticeable amount of it around here. Has the age of gods come to an end in the marvel universe? I'm not too sure about that, at least it has ended in Artoria's time but here in this universe I think the gods are still around.

I look around the open plains noticing nothing being around. No ruins, no castle, not even signs of life. It's like there was nothing ever here in the first place. I at least thought I would find something around where Camelot used to be. It's like it just disappeared, leaving no traces left behind. "Raphael, it's gone. All of it. Like it never existed in the first place. What happened to it all. All the history, everything just gone. What am I going to do now?"
