The Nightmare Spell first appeared in the world a few decades ago. Back then, the planet was just starting to recover from a series of devastating natural disasters and subsequent resource wars.
At first, the emergence of a new disease that caused millions of people to complain about constant fatigue and sleepiness did not attract a lot of attention. But when they started to fall into an unnatural slumber, with no sign of waking up even days later, governments finally panicked.
Of course, by then it was already too late not that an early response could have made any difference.
When the infected started dying in their sleep, their dead bodies turning into monsters, no one was ready. Nightmare Creatures quickly overwhelmed national militaries, plunging the world into complete chaos. No one knew what the Spell was, what powers it possessed, and how to fight it.
In the end, it was the Awakened who survived the first trials of the Spell and came back from their sleep who put a stop to its rampage. Armed with miraculous abilities earned in their Nightmares, they restored peace and created a semblance of a new order.
It was only the first of the catastrophes brought upon by the Spell. But not the last...
For an average person, being chosen by the Spell was as much of a risk as an opportunity. But it is the key to his dream for Fang Yuan.
He once entertained the idea of this being the power of great dream immortal venerable somehow but he knew it wasn't possible he killed her with his own hands and she was truly gone so he naturally understood that he was in a different world, far removed from where he had once been a Demon Venerable. But this world, too, had its way to power.
Although the path of ascension was different compared to his previous world's cultivation route it was quite similar too.
The nightmare spell categorizes humans and nightmare creatures into ranks and classes, determining their strength. Humans progress through seven ranks leading to divinity, while nightmare creatures face corruption leading to profanity.
Each of the seven ranks in humans includes unique titles such as Sleeper, Unawakened, awakened, Ascended, transcendent . with transcendent beging the current epitome of power, highlighting their progression and significance.

The correlation between the ranks of humans and Nightmare creatures represents a broader theme of sanity, showcasing the contrast between purity and corruption in the narrative.
The power of nightmare creatures is determined by their class, which indicates the number of cores they possess. While humans have one core, nightmare creatures can have more than one core, at least one[beast] most seven[titan] actually.
Nightmare creatures are classified into ranks based on their cores, ranging from class one beasts to class seven titans. Each class significantly impacts their strength and abilities with even gaining inteliigence after one evolves to a devil class.

Comparing a 'fallen Titan' and a 'corrupted devil' shows that the fallen Titan has a higher power level, demonstrating how rank and cores affect overall strength as even Though corrupted is a higher rank, the class difference makes a fallen titan have significantly powerful and more developed abilities making it stronger even being a lower rank.
This highlights the importance of understanding creature rankings. As ranks increase among creatures, the gap in their power points widens significantly, indicating that higher-ranked creatures become much stronger compared to lower-ranked ones but the class affects its overall lethality.
This trend is crucial for strategic planning in confrontation against one. The power scaling of nightmare creatures is distinct from human capabilities, emphasizing that individual techniques and experiences matter more than mere rankings. Despite high ranks, humans cannot surpass the power of superior beings due to these differences.
This kind of power progression scale primarily applies to nightmare creatures and does not adequately reflect human strength or abilities. Each human possesses unique skills that influence their combat effectiveness. Even if a human-like Fang Yuan becomes immensely powerful, he will remain inherently weaker than higher-ranked beings. This highlights the limitations of mere power rankings in real combat scenarios.

It is now on his doorstep. The infection had come suddenly. He had noticed it was getting harder to stay awake. A sign of infection of the nightmare spell.

The police station was as bleak as the rest of the city's outskirts. Its walls were cracked, and its windows were covered in grime. Inside, the air was thick with tension, officers and civilians alike moving about in a haze of stress and exhaustion. Fang Yuan's gaze swept over the room.
He approached the front desk. The officer behind it barely glanced up, his expression one of extreme tiredness.
"As demanded by the Third Special Directive, I am here to surrender myself as a carrier of the Nightmare Spell."
The officer's expression instantly changed from apathetic to wary. He looked the young man over once again, this time with piercing intensity.
"Are you sure you are infected? When did you start showing symptoms?"
"At least a week ago?" Fang Yuan answered.
The officer became visibly paler.
At this moment, another officer shouted, "Attention! Code Black in the lobby! I repeat! CODE BLACK!"
The first officer pressed a button on his terminal and bellowed:
"Attention! Code Black! We have a Code Black. Code Black."

Authors note:- yeah so do tell me how you like my explanation of the spell I mean I tried I really did but if it was bad plz do leave some suggestions I might think of editing it later if I get how to write the explanation part yk
Ans: in the beginning of the third nightmare sunny dreams of Weaver as spider with one lost leg yeah so I started the journey and explanation from there but yk my lord fy don't need to know yet he will learn it in the future anyway plus that lost leg too had a reason hehehehe~~~
