Chapter 1 - Preface: The wide range of the multiverse

The idea of the existence of alternative universes has existed in humans' minds for a long time. Even in ancient times, the first philosophical assumptions were made that parallel worlds could exist. Stephen Hawking developed the so-called theory of the "multiverse" - a concept that states that our universe is just one of many, if not an infinite number of universes. Especially today, multiverses are used in modern fiction to create an unique science fiction scenario.

This light novel called PSI-99 is part of my fictional universe called "Project Dread", a story about parallel worlds and a chaotic incident that brings them all closer than ever before. You'll find out more about it when the main novel comes soon.

PSI-99 is part of this universe and at the same time the prehistory of a late-appearing main character. This serves not only to flesh out that character, but also as a writing exercise for me, so apologies if some passages aren't perfect, this is the first light novel I have ever published. The story takes place before the events of Project Dread. To be precise, before the main turning point at the end of the first chapter. The story of PSI-99 also ends at exactly this point, you'll understand. Nevertheless, I am sure that many of you will enjoy this story.

With that I'll leave you again, enjoy reading!
