Felix watched Debbie from across the room, his
eyes soft but full of pain. He had always been there
for her, supporting her in the way only someone
who truly cared could. But now, it seemed that his
role was shifting.
Debbie had made her choice. She would try again
with Pasco. And though Felix wanted to fight for
her, to tell her that he was the one who could give
her the happiness she deserved, he knew deep
down that he had to let her go.
It wasn't a clean break. It never was when it came
to love. But he had learned long ago that
sometimes, the best way to love someone was to
step back and let them make their own choices.
