Felix, hearing about Pasco's text, was less than thrilled.
"Why is this guy always showing up?" he muttered to Elise.
"Because drama sells," Elise quipped, scrolling through her phone.
Felix shot her a look. "I don't want drama."
"Sure you don't," Elise said with a grin. "That's why
you've been brooding like a rom-com hero for months."
Felix ignored her, deciding to focus on his own plans.
But when he saw Debbie laughing with Pasco at a café the next day, his patience snapped.
He walked straight up to their table, his jaw tight.
"Debbie, can we talk?"
Pasco raised an eyebrow. "Felix. Nice to see you again."
"Wish I could say the same," Felix muttered under his breath.
