Felix returned to his family's estate, determined to
stand his ground.
"Debbie needs me," he told his parents during a tense family meeting.
"And we need you," Aiden countered, his voice firm.
"You have responsibilities, Felix. You can't just walk
away because of a girl."
"She's not just 'a girl,'" Felix said, his frustration
bubbling to the surface. "She's the person I want to
spend my life with. And if that means walking away
from the family business, then so be it."
Lila's expression softened, but Aiden looked furious.
"You're willing to throw away everything we've built for this… fleeting infatuation?"
"It's not fleeting," Felix said, his voice steady. "And if
you can't see that, then maybe it's time I build
something of my own."
Elise, who had been silently watching, clapped her
hands dramatically. "Bravo, Felix. Finally standing up to the old man."
"Not helping, Elise," Felix muttered, though he couldn't hide his smile.
Lila sighed, placing a hand on Aiden's arm. "Let him go, Aiden. He has to make his own choices, just like we did."
