Back in Chiang Mai, Debbie and Filex visited an elephant sanctuary. Watching the gentle creatures up close, Debbie felt a sense of peace she hadn't known in years.
"You're amazing with them," Filex said as she fed a baby elephant a bunch of bananas.Debbie turned to him, a soft smile on her lips. "They're just so
pure. It's easy to connect with them."
"Kind of like you," Filex said, his voice low.
Debbie blushed, looking away. "You're not supposed to make me this flustered all the time, you know."
Filex laughed, reaching out to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. "It's not my fault you're so easy to fall for." They spent the rest of the day exploring the sanctuary, laughing and teasing each other like they'd known each other forever
