Pasco watched from the shadows as Debbie and Filex left the art gallery hand in hand. He clenched his fists, jealousy boiling in his chest. But he knew he couldn't force her to choose him.
Instead, Pasco decided to write Debbie a letter. It was the only way he could express everything he felt without interrupting her life. In the letter, he poured out his heart, admitting his mistakes
and acknowledging the pain he had caused. He apologized for not valuing her when he had the chance and promised that, no matter what happened, he wanted her to be happy—even if it wasn't with him.
The letter arrived at Debbie's apartment a few days later. She read it in silence, her emotions swirling. Pasco's words were sincere, but they also reminded her of the person she used to be—the girl who waited, who hurt, who doubted herself.
As she folded the letter and set it aside, Debbie realized something important: she wasn't that girl anymore.
