Epilogue

So after Christmas, we got back to London, and continued our relationship through coco's course, her graduation is tomorrow and I am going to propose to her right after it!
I have the whole thing planned, she loves the show friends so much and I am going to propose to her like Monica did to chandler, with all the candles at home, I went and got a butt ton of candles last week and tomorrow after she leaves Thalia and I will set it up and Thalia will leave a little earlier from the graduation and light them all up and then when she walks in, I'll propose. It's going to be perfect.
Or so I thought, this day could not have gone more wrong, this was the easiest thing to set up but couldn't have possibly done it without Thalia and she got sick, real sick not pretend like she was supposed to, so she can't help, and I can't possibly miss coco's graduation, she would kill me, even her parents couldn't fly in, so it'll just be me, now that Thalia's sick. I tried to drive back home before coco cuz she was talking to her friends , but she would not let go of me! And so the plan basically failed. She didn't even want to come back home after graduation, she wanted to go on a long drive.
"You need to take a left here" she navigates
"Here? That doesn't seem right"
"Just trust your navigator, left"
I take the left and after a few more wrong turns, I get really annoyed, "Babe, this could not possibly lead to a beach, we are in the middle of nowhere! I told you those directions are wrong!" I yell a little
"I was just telling you what the app said!" She yells back
"Clearly you were reading it wrong! It would not have rerouted so much if you were giving me the right directions! "
"Whatever" she mumbles
"It's not whatever, we are LOST! Our phones are DEAD and I have no idea how to get out of here!" I yell
"DONT YELL AT ME!"
"THEN LEARN TO CHARGE YOUR PHONE!"
"YOURS DIED TOO!"
"THATS BECAUSE YOURS DIED A LONG TIME AGO AND THE NAVIGATION USED UP ALL MY CHARGE!"
This goes on for a while and then we just sit there in silence not talking to each other. I start the car again and try finding some sort of diner or cafe on what looks like an abandoned street. After driving for about 30 minutes in complete silence, we finally find a fuel station, which looked so empty and quiet, I park the car, get out and lock it before coco can get off.
"Hey! Let me out!" I hear her muffled voice from inside the vehicle. It is fun to annoy her after we fight, but I just didn't want her to come out because of how creepy it is here. I fill up the tank first and then go and buy some snacks from inside the shop.
I get back in and toss the bag of snacks to her.
"I CANT BELIEVE YOU LOCKED ME IN HERE!" She yells
"Eat up" I Ignore what she just said, "We have a long road ahead because of someone's stupidity"
"Oh my god I'm going to kill you!"
I couldn't find a charger at the shop, so no google maps, but there was a map on a magazine so I tried to figure out where the beach was and it didn't look like it was too far away in the map, it was about two turns away so I tried to get there. We went back to no talking in the car and after just 10 minutes, I actually found the beach! It was almost midnight, but there were still some cars parked around, I parked ours there too and turned to see coco's face. She was sleeping, she did have a pretty exhausting day, and she looks so beautiful when she's asleep. I really did not feel like waking her up, instead I got out and got scheming.
I wake her up around 5, just in time for the sunrise.
"Babe, wake up" I whisper and nudge her gently
"Mm, what happened?" She mumbles
"Wake up, don't you wanna see the sun rise?"
"I do!" She sits up straight and then falls back down sleepily, "but I'm so sleepy"
"That's ok I'll take you there" I grab her waist, put her hands around my shoulder and lift her off the seat, then I close the car door with my leg and carry her toward the cute little set up I made in the sand. I make her sit down and she opens her eyes and looks at the sunrise.
Her eyes widen, "wow, that's beautiful" then she looks down and realises we are at the beach, "oh my god, when did we get here?" She asks excitedly.
"Around midnight" I answer
"Oh my god this is the most beautiful view, ever", she says, and then she notices the beach mat we are sitting on, and the croissants I got us for breakfast, with her favourite caramel latte.
"Babe, what's all this? It's so perfect, I love you, I'm sorry I was a bitch yesterday" she says
"You can never be a bitch, and I'm sorry too, I love you so much." I reply
She reach's for the coffee but then I stop her, "Wait, this is for later"
"Later? When?" She asks
"After you see that" I point to the sand castle a meter away.
"Oh my god, it's a sand castle, so pretty, did you make that?"
"Mm hmm, go over and see what it says" I say and we walk over to the castle that took me 2 hours to make.
"It has a flag, aww" she says and takes it out to read the message, "will you marry me? James? What?" She turns around and I'm kneeling on one knee, with a ring in my hand.
"I want you to navigate me to the wrong places for the rest of my life, babe, will you be wife?" I ask
"Mm hmm" she says with teary eyes, "ofcourse I will, I love you"
"I love you too" I put the ring on her finger, " so much."
