The woes of war

War...

The harbinger of destruction...

The puppeteer of doom...

Bringing upon those who seek it,... Chaos

And above all, the breaker of bonds.

Some might say that a true bond is one that cannot be easily broken, but even the toughest chains are susceptible to destruction regardless of it's strengths. All it would require is a huge amount of force equal in strength to obliterate it into smithereens.

On this day, a bond forged through war had been destroyed by the same forces which forged it bringing down with it, an entire race. The same blades which protected each other had ended up clashing with each other, the consequences... Beyond devastating.

On a vast expanse of land laid several bodies; some appeared human, the rest being collosal beings whose body size could compete with a mountain's. In reality, every body laid on the floor were actually of the same race and if a random person were to gaze upon this scene they would be beyond flabbergasted. Beings who were said to be able to decimate a town with a single sneeze laid on the ground as dead as a human could be.

Dragons!

Beings who stood at the epitome of every existence, transcending the limits of all living things. Existences who struck fear into the hearts of mortals even in their vegetative state. It was hard to imagine what had bested these dragons all at once, such force would be enough to end the world. But lucky for them they had nothing to worry about.

At this center of this scene stood two humanoids who looked like they had just ran a marathon their red and purple hairs drenched in blood. Of course these men were transformed dragons, presumably the strongest and possibly, the last dragons in existence. But it was quite obvious that these two were on their last legs as their breathing were ragged and their tired looks had highlighted their pitiful state, coupled with the fact they each had a sword sticking out from their backs. Even in the face of death these two still held a huge smile on their face paying no attention to the havoc they had caused.

One would find it hard to believe that these two had possessed a bond stronger than any that could have been created. It would be hard to imagine that the two who killed for each each other would actually kill each other, life was truly cruel to the innocent. But then again these two were far from innocent but that was a story for another day.

"Why". the red-haired guy muttered amidst the trickling of blood from his mouth.

The other guy who possessed a purple hair simply broadened his smile .

" Why? You should know well you brought this upon yourself Raiku. No one is to blame but your arrogant self". He yelled.

The redhead simply scoffed. He then tried to straighten his pose which resulted in him falling flat on the ground.

"That's not the point. We promised each other we would stand together no matter what. But you went ahead to stab me in the back." He managed to say

"I can't tell if you are being literal here" the other said sending them both bursting into a peal of laughter.

"With everything that's happened". the redhead continued.

"I'm glad I got to know you and if I ever imagined dying it was always going to be by your side."

The purple-head donned a look of astonisment before regaining his previous smile.

"You too, old fool, just hope when we do meet each other u don't end up so much of the punk you were."

The two then burst into laughter again before they fellto the ground, lifeless.

They breathed their last but in their final moments their were friends after all which went to say that a true bond couldn't actually be truly broken...
