Chapter 11 - Moon Elf

After a while, everyone arrived, about a hundred people. I looked at them quietly without saying anything. They also saw my expression, probably surprised that I was a child, and they were all stunned for a moment, and then said in unison, "The Moon Elves pay their respects to the Moon Emperor."

At the front of the crowd was an old man with white hair and beard. I thought he was the second elder. So I asked Grandpa Tree to put me down, walked up to him, looked at him, and said calmly, "Everyone, get up." Seeing them raise their heads, their eyes were full of excitement. I was a little puzzled. Why?

The old man came up to me and said, "Moon Elf Hill has seen the Moon Emperor."

"No need to be so polite, Second Elder," I helped him up.

"Moon Emperor, please follow me," the second elder said, asking me to go first. I said to the tree man, "Grandpa Tree, I'm leaving first. See you later." Then I walked in front, looking at the elves in front of me, I smiled and nodded.

After walking for about ten minutes, we arrived in front of a tree house. It is called a tree house because it is really built on trees. There are dozens of trees with large diameters, and a house is supported on them. Stairs are dug on the tree trunks, which is refreshing and unique. We took the middle staircase and saw many rooms when we got up. All the utensils were made of wood. They looked very spectacular when they were connected together. The elder, I and a few others walked into the big house in the middle. It seems that this is where we usually hold meetings. Sitting there, I didn't know where to start.

"Grandpa Hill, thank you for leading our entire clan to live in such a beautiful place." I broke the silence and said to the second elder.

"Queen, please do not address me like that." The second elder said hurriedly, "Queen, please take a rest today. I will talk to you tomorrow."

  "Okay," I said, smiling.

After they left, I was thinking about this strange thing. Why didn't anyone object? Why didn't anyone question the fact that I was a human? Was it because of the crown on my head? It couldn't be possible. If that was the case, there wouldn't be any internal strife or betrayal. Anyway, I couldn't figure it out. Forget it. I'll talk about it tomorrow.

The next morning, Filorian came to help me wash. I hadn't washed properly for a long time since I fled, and I felt refreshed after washing. I put on the white robe that Filorian brought, tied half of my hair loosely, the jade seal on my forehead radiated light, the crown was put inside my body, and I opened my closed eyes, like an angel fallen into the mortal world. I was stunned for a while. I turned around and saw Filorian's dazed expression. I smiled. This was the effect I wanted.

I walked with a smile on my face. I became a statue along the way. I was also feasting my eyes. The elves are indeed a gathering place for handsome men and beautiful women. Not far away, I saw Hill talking to some people. I walked over and saw another circle of statues.

"Meet the Queen", the old man was determined and did not turn into a statue. But I am still young, and I must turn you into a statue when I grow up, I suddenly thought of a prank.

  "Second Elder, are you done?"

  "Queen, let's have a face-to-face meeting."

I followed Hill into the hut, and after we sat down at the table facing each other, I looked at him and said, "Elder, please speak."

"Did the Queen receive the inheritance in the Devil's Forest?"

  "Yes, what's the problem?"

"Then the Queen knows that the inheritance is not complete. The inheritance the Queen received is the inheritance of the crown and the elemental spirits, but without the baptism of the water of life, it is not considered a complete inheritance."

  "What is the elder's plan?"

"I will let the Queen receive the complete inheritance."

"Why? I'm not an elf. You should know why you want me to be the queen instead of someone else. I can't resist you here, right?"

"Prophecy, the Queen should know the prophecy," the second elder continued without waiting for my answer, "Ten thousand years ago when the elves were still unified, there was an Elf King who was proficient in prophecy. Before he died, he left a prophecy saying, 'A thousand years after his death, the elves will be divided into five tribes. After a great chaos, the five tribes will coexist peacefully. When the land where the elves live changes, it will be the time for the elves to fall. The elves will suffer a great disaster here, or even be exterminated. When a foreign woman descends on the land of disaster, the elves will have a king again. At that time, the foreign king will lead the elves to unity and glory.' The foreign woman among them must be the Queen. Even if an 8-year-old child is smart, he will not be as wise as the Queen. Not to mention going deep into the Devil's Forest."

This old fox, I thought to myself. "Yes, but how do you know the prophecy? Why didn't the Queen tell you when she passed it on?"

"I am the descendant of that prophet. Our family has been guarding this secret for generations. Even the Queen doesn't know. That's why I knew about this place in advance. I have been preparing for it."
