Chapter 2 - Card Stealing

It was a night, the moonlight only partially penetrating the dirty, dusty windows. The silence of the night felt like a hint of the world turning upside down.

The Velvalner family

mansion A large and magnificent mansion located at the top of a cliff, surrounded by a dense forest. The building was filled with ancient items and secret dungeons that had been hidden away for centuries dormant, waiting to be awakened.

Sneaking through rooms filled with servants and Magic Guardians he avoided detection and reached the library where the door to the dungeon where the Ace of Spades was hidden.

She looked around, hearing the footsteps of the guards patrolling the dark hallways of the mansion. Lavia took a deep breath and whispered to herself.

'This is the only way out. To freedom... And a better future for everyone

Nimbly, she activated her shadow magic, utilizing the darkness around her to obscure her body. In an instant, he was already in front of a large door that led to the basement, where great power was hidden.

Lavia stood in front of the door hidden behind an old bookcase in the family library. Her hands were shaking, not only from fear but also from the decision she had made.

Lavia stepped forward and touched the hidden magic link on the door, which could only be opened with special magic. The 'Velvalner family magic' contained ancient codes, but Lavia, who had long learned to hide her knowledge, knew how to access them. She concentrated her magic energy into her hand, touching the crystal on the door.

It slowly opened and revealed a dark room filled with large tables filled with ancient magic artifacts and books. In the center of the room, on a white marble table illuminated by dim candlelight, lay the 'Ace of Spades,' a card that exuded an eerie, mystical aura. Lavia stepped forward, her eyes fixed on the card, but her heart filled with doubt.

"This aura is greater than the artifacts displayed in the Hall Of Chamber... The aura is so bad; why would a card be able to give off such a thing like it could destroy the world?"

"Is stealing this thing the right thing to do?"

But then, the memories of her cruel family, the way they controlled and manipulated everything, made her heart steady. She remembered the words of her mother, who often said that magic was to "achieve greatness." But Lavia knew better. Magic was not for mastering it was an art for freedom.

She raised her hand and with a swift movement, the 'Ace of Spades' lifted, floating into her hand. At that instant, Lavia felt a tremendous rush of energy flowing through her body. A dark and powerful flash enveloped the room as if the world around her was shaking.

Suddenly, a loud noise was heard from the back door, and a man appeared, wearing the dark robes and large hats of Lucien, her brother, who was also the highest member of the Velvalner family. His gaze was sharp and calculating.

Lucien with a low and firm voice. "Lavia... What are you doing? Return to your place right now."

Lavia took a few steps back, holding the 'Ace of Spades' tightly in her hands, trying to hold back the power burning inside her.

Lavia with a hoarse voice.

"I can't let them use it. It's too dangerous, Lucien. You know that."

Lucien gave her a sharp look.

"This family has guarded this power for centuries, Lavia. Do you think you know better than them? What you are doing is treason. You will destroy us all."

Lavia bit her lip, her heart in turmoil. She knew that what she was doing was a dangerous move, but she felt that there was no other way. The quest for freedom that she had longed for was at her fingertips, and the 'Ace of Spades' was the key.

Lucien stepped forward with an angry look; his hand began to emit a light that radiated "Light Binding," one of the Velvalner family's magic that could control light and capture anyone it touched.

Lucien with a cold voice.

"Don't force me, Lavia. Come back now, and I'll give you mercy. Do this stupid thing, and you will never return."

Lavia shook her head. Quickly, she moved her hand, and the 'Ace of Spades' began to glow, creating a shadow that surrounded her body, slowly separating her from the real world. The shadow grew stronger, and in an instant, Lavia's body disappeared, leaving the room as empty as ever.

Lucien stood speechless, his eyes wide open in astonishment and anger. He turned around, throwing the last words that pierced Lavia's heart before disappearing.

Lucien shouted. "You can't run away from this family, Lavia! You will regret it!"

However, the voice grew distant, and Lavia was already outside the mansion, running towards a new freedom, with the

'Ace of Spades' in her hand, as a sign that her destiny had changed forever.

Lavia whispered to herself, with determination "This is the beginning of freedom... for the new world I created."
