It's been 3 months since I burned the house down.(the story's just gonna be in first person now) We've been staying in town while dad and a few others rebuild the house. Mom keeps talking about someone "that's coming home soon" and I've been hesitant to ask what she's talking about.
"Come on Ichikawa it's time to go out to the store!" Mom yelled out to me getting me to start walking towards her. I make my way to her and walk out the door with her.
"We need to get some good food for him." She whispers under her breath. I overheard it and decided to say something. "Hey mom what do you mean "food for him?" I asked a little nervously.
"Oh your uncle is just coming back from... a battle... That's probably fine to say around a child." She says to me thinking I won't understand any of what she says. After all in her eyes I'm just a kid.
"Alright mom i understand." I say to her she looked at me with a suprised look. She clearly didn't think I'd understand what a battle was.
We shopped for an hour or so getting some nice groceries before coming home. By the time we enter the house my dad has already got home.
"Hey honey how was today?" My mom asked to my father. He responded saying the alot of the base structure is done and that it shouldn't be too long until we're back in that house.
My mom speed walked into the kitchen and started making soup. It was only 3 pm and was about 3 hours until we normally eat. I was confused but wasn't going to complain about eating early.
I ran off into my room closing the door softly and reaching under my bed grabbing the "magic for beginners" book that I saved from the fire. I looked through it excitedly. I hadn't tried to cast any spell since I burned down the house but was probably gonna try to cast another one today.
I found a spell that couldn't cause alot of damage if anything went wrong.
Stone creation and throw.
I reached my arm out my other holding the book reading out the incantation.
"Dear earth god the one that may destroy all of his enemies grant me the magic of Stone and grant me a blessing of your magic
:stone creation and thrown!" I yell out the entire incantation my vision lighting up like before. My body feels lighter again. I feel as though I'm ascending from the ground as I cast the spell. I look at my hand and a rock is floating around. I take a deep breath and release it gently it disappearing into the floor.
As I do that I hear the door open. I hide the book under my chair and open my door lightly seeing a man in a uniform with semi long black hair standing in the doorway.
"Yo Sarah I'm here this is your house right?" He called out. I instantly hear my mom's loud footsteps blaring through the house before reaching the room connecting to the doorway tears in her eyes.
"BAYDO YOUR HERE!!!!!" She screeches as she sprints into his arms.
"Hey Sarah." He responds. He forces her off him and walk into the house closing the door and walking into the living room fending off my mother's attempts at hugging him.
"Yes Sarah i understand I'm alive and fine and your happy about it." He says.
