Magic System:

Attributes:

- Only obtainable within rifts

- Cultivators can only have one attribute

- Cultivators have basic knowledge of their attributes upon being obtained

Affinity:

- You are born with your affinity

- You have to be tested to know what your affinity is

Essence:

- Cultivation word meaning body and soul (mana is separate)

Rifts:

- Rifts are portals to what seems to be other worlds

- Rifts have ranks (same ranks as for cultivators)

Techniques:

- All cultivators use techniques to advance

- When some people awaken they receive an innate technique

- Innate techniques are seen to be given to them by the world

The Academy:

- It's an Academy, there's probably more than one

- not very important to the story
