Chapter 14 - 14: Poetry Shorts

Sheen of silver, shining in the sun

The sorcerer's scepter summons a sinister spell

silencing the rancor of battle.

***

Amorous eyes glances abound

Misty air and arduous breaths

Smothered in false Love.

***

Savoring zenith, the song ascends

enraptured in the swallow's tune

the Maiden's smile glows greatly.

***

Shallow squall tears asunder

Creaking hull cracks the waves and wanes

To Heaven's storm the sailor prays

To Heaven's storm the squall shudders

and fades...

***

Butterfly flutters, black of wing

Scarlet flowers in liquid blooms

of stolen souls where battle yet looms

Gone the soldiers; gone to their dooms.

***

Unholy worship is Gods below

Pale of flesh and pink of lips.

He walks among us, He walks past me

Heart aflutter and faith aflame.

***

Myriad midnight of a thousand stars

touch my moon and sooth my scars;

Gleam of Jupiter, glow of Mars

For whom I love, I wish to stars.

***

Spider, spider, eight of leg

weaving spools of silken thread

How did you manage to tangle your web?

How did you manage to break it instead?

***

Daddy, daddy, I love him so

Daddy, Daddy, where'd you go?

Don't leave me here, in cold, cold snow

Daddy left me, I was too slow.

***

Icy rime of frigid freezing,

chilling frost of frozen ice

that coldly froze the frosty chill

of wintry heart and boreal ice.

***

Burn of pain, from words of flame

He hurt me deeply, my eyes turned red

Hate he felt, "gross" he said.

***

Wild wrath from foul scorns

Wallowed the wicked and wrought their thorns

to wreath my head in a bleeding crown

That cleansed my sins and washed their town
