Chapter 5 - 5: Conqueror's Eulogy

Conqueror's grave here is interred

Where hatred and history blurred

The Marigolds his sole witness

Grace the remembrance of greatness

Which now the pacifist conquered

***

For glory he offered the herd

Graced his lips with only one word

Yet his golden dream, more or less

Here is interred

***

He tried and tried, name aspired

His grave is danced over, name mired

And no gold but for his weakness

Untarnished, unrusted, weakness.

For his legend, which spite conferred

Here is interred.
