Kaizer sighed as he left the training room. It had been 2 days since he began his training routine, and the progress was so visible that it was as hard as trying to break an addiction for him to stop. Feeling his superpower growing by the minute was a kind of high that Kaizer genuinely wished all humans could enjoy at least once in their lives.
But he had something to do today, so he couldn't help but stop his training and head towards his room. He had showered slightly at the training room, which had multiple bathrooms, so he was casually wiping his hair with a towel when he encountered Rina, who was also walking down the hallway.
His cousin was beautiful as always, her usually long red hair tied into a nerdy bun while a pair of designer glasses adorned her eyes to prevent her eyesight from going bad when using her phone. She had a loose grey t-shirt with a picture of Batman, her favorite superhero character, and a pair of black elastic sport shorts for women.
Unsurprisingly, she maintained her bad habit of walking about the house barefoot, something that both Kaizer and Keith had endlessly chastised her for. As she came down the hallway, she was tapping her phone while playing Candy Crush, until she bumped into a thick chest and almost fell.
"Ow! Watch where you're… oh." She was about to complain when she saw the face of a slightly smiling Kaizer looming above her.
Kaizer raised his finger as a blue glow flashed in his eyes, bringing Rina up to her feet telekinetically. The young lady gasped with surprise, glancing at her brother with amazement and a hint of worship.
"How strong are you now?" Rina couldn't help but ask with curiosity.
Kaizer passed a hand through his slick black hair. "I'm not one hundred percent sure. I think I should have basically reached the level of a basic psychic by now."
"And you just awoke not a week ago," Rina couldn't help but point out with a smile.
"Well, I mostly have you to thank for it. I wouldn't be able to get this strong, this fast, if not for you." Kaizer pulled the towel down to lie around his neck.
Rina pointed to herself in confusion, her lovely green eyes blinking rapidly. "Me? How could I have helped you?"
Kaizer raised his head to glance at the hallway and shook his head. "Come to my room when you're free and we can discuss it. I have something important to tell you that will affect our relationship going forward."
Hearing such serious and grave words, Rina's heart skipped a beat, but she nodded slowly and decided to pay her brother a visit after she was done with her mom.
Both parties separated, and Kaizer headed to his room to finish dressing up. He wore a fitting white shirt from Pierre Cardin that cost $1,900, along with a set of matching suit pants that were part of the set. After putting the cufflinks in to secure his wrists, Kaizer wore an Audemars Piguet worth $60,000 with his name written in the background of the watch's face.
He put on his black socks and loafers that both cost nearly $400 from Lacoste and finally wrapped the suit jacket around his white shirt to complete the fit. After going to stand at the full-body mirror to measure his look, Kaizer only smoothed his hair and applied some Jimmy Choo $1,200 perfume to enhance his olfactory emissions.
When he walked out of his room, Kaizer had changed from a handsome college-going youth to a young broker who decided the fate of entire business sectors with his whims. Technically, as the heir to Lunin Corp, which had retained 80% of its shares for the Lunin family, he really could do so if he put his mind to it.
Kaizer came out and smiled to the maid on duty near the door and walked towards his newly purchased BYD Yangwang U9, a pure electric vehicle with the design and aesthetics of a supercar you'd see in a racing game.
Kaizer was given the key to the car on a silver tray by the maid on duty who bowed to greet him. He then pressed the unlock button and opened the driver's side door, which opened upwards rather than sideways.
The young man sat inside and felt how soft the leather seats were, especially since the massager automatically activated and began caressing his back through the seat. The display on the dashboard also lit up and welcomed him, asking him to press the start button to initiate the engine.
Kaizer did so, and the entire car lit up, with a female Asian voice greeting him in English. There was a period of setup where he was to enter his details as the car owner so it could better tailor itself to his needs, while he was given a QR code to download the BYD app to control the car remotely.
He patiently handled all of this and then drove out of the mansion's park, which was populated by only seven cars: three for the family, one for him, one for Rina, and two for Keith. Neither Charlene nor Katherine liked cars, so they always used Keith's or the family ones when going out since they were considerably luxurious enough.
Kaizer soon hit the road and began freely accelerating, mapping out the entire area around him for nearly 300 meters with ease. He was even tempted to use his power to affect the car to move faster, but forwent it since there were cameras around and he didn't want to be hit with a warning.
He lazily crossed through the busy parts of town and soon reached a quieter area, which was the Alpha City First Cemetery. Bringing his car into a quiet area to park so that he wouldn't be ostentatious, Kaizer disembarked and wore a slightly solemn expression as he walked to a nearby stele.
On it was listed the names of the nearly 400 students and teachers who perished during the attack on Summit Hill University.
On one hand, it had been a thrilling battle between him and three dark espers, then a period of espionage and rescue, topping it off with the awakening of his cousin. However, for others, it was a terrible and traumatic horror that led to so many unwarranted deaths that no one could have predicted.
Kaizer helplessly clenched his fists. He saw the name of Miss Faithia, the teacher who had been fantasizing about her hentai-like life with one of his classmates. Unfortunately, that same fellow, George, was on here as well, both of them having perished.
Almost everyone in his class had their names here because they had the misfortune to close class along with him and be in the area near the entrance when Rina stopped him, and then Barnes attacked. Even the three crazy girls who were thinking of devouring him in their heads during class hadn't made it.
Even if Kaizer had been aloof and closed off from these people, he had experienced their thoughts and emotions for a while, so to say he didn't care was a stretch. He wasn't emotionally indifferent, he was just reclusive and a little introverted.
Now… they were all gone.
