Location: March 3, 2009 Inside the House of the Fairchild's
Lauren Fairchild (Pendragon): (inside her head) I was doing some research on my family history for a school project. While I was looking through some of the families files I found something that I was both surprised and confused by. When finding my birth certificate I stumbled across another piece of paper that I have never knew about. Adoption papers filled out by my dad. I was so confused about it; angry as
well. I went outside to confront my mother about this realization. Unknowingly,
right into a mini family reunion, for my grandparents were visiting.
Location: outside of the Fairchild's house in the backyard
Lauren Fairchild (now talking): Mom!
Nimue Fairchild (looking up at her daughter): Hey honey what's up? Is everything ok?
Lauren Fairchild: Can I talk to you about something please? It's really important.
Nimue Fairchild (has a strange feeling in her gut that something was wrong and she did not like it one bit): Um sweetie can it wait until after your grandparents leave please?
Lauren Fairchild: Mom it really can't wait.
Nimue Fairchild: Alright sweetie what's going on? What do you want to talk about with me?
Lauren Fairchild: Mom am I adopted?
Nimue Fairchild: What!?! Of course not sweetheart! Why would you ask me such a silly question?
Lauren Fairchild: Mom I found these papers in my file that you have for me. ( I hand her the paperwork )
Nimue Fairchild (with a confused look on her face): Lauren honey where did you find these papers at?
Lauren Fairchild: Mom I told you I found these papers in a file that you had made for me. Like paperwork and medical records for school and stuff.
Nimue Fairchild: Lauren honey why were you even looking through your file in the first place?
Lauren Fairchild: Mom does it even matter why I was looking through them?
Nimue Fairchild: Lauren honey it does matter. Why were you looking through them in the first place?
Lauren Fairchild: You know what mom if your not going to tell me the truth on what's going on. Then fine! (I started to walk away from her)
Nimue Fairchild: Lauren where do you think your going? Come back here right now young lady.
Lauren Fairchild: Mom I'm going for a walk to think ok! (I yelled back at her)
Nimue Fairchild: Lauren! (She yelled)
Raymond Fairchild: You know what Nimue you should tell your daughter the truth (Grandpa said right behind her)
Nimue Fairchild (turning around to look at him): Raymond she cannot find out the truth. Besides that its to dangerous for her to know.
Raymond Fairchild: Nimue. You and I both know that the truth about where she comes from and who she truly is. Your daughter has every right to know who she truly is. Also she has every right to know who her real father is.
Nimue Fairchild: Raymond I can't tell her the truth. I just can't. Please you can't tell her Raymond please!
Raymond Fairchild: Well if you won't tell her the truth Nimue then I will. (He began walking away from Nimue and began following after Lauren)
Nimue Fairchild (she yelled after Raymond): Raymond please don't! Please don't tell her anything please.
Frank Fairchild (walking right up behind her): Nimue honey my dad is right. Lauren has every right to know the truth.
Nimue Fairchild (turning around to face her husband): So you are actually agreeing with your father on this?
Frank Fairchild: Yes and besides that honey. You and I both know this was going to happen someday.
Nimue Fairchild (turning away from her husband): Yeah I know that honey. But a part of me wishes it doesn't have to happen at all. That she would grow up with a normal and happy life here with us.
Frank Fairchild (wrapping his arms around his wife): I know how you feel honey really I do. But you and I both know that are daughter has not had a normal and easy life at all. But
besides that I do understand how you feel. But I am telling you right now that no matter what happens she will always be my daughter to me.
