It took a second to Oriana to reply. They have not Pleaded her to stay with them. They only want her to eat the meal together and then leave as if she was not needed.
Her eyes narrowed and her chest tightened. A strange emptiness felt there.
"Ha! And why should I listen to you?" Oriana turned to leave. Olivia looked at her with dimmed eyes. At least she had put in some effort!
"It is alright, we can still have fun." She looked at the lingering gaze of the kids and felt remorseful. She had made so many attempts to change Oriana's heart but nothing seemed to work.
"But mother.." Abi sniffled as she watched her mother leaving. She wanted to follow her but was afraid that she would only be scolded.
