Chapter 6 - Being Stupid?

"QIN LIANGYU!"

As soon as he arrived home, his father's voice boomed. General Qin was standing beside the fish pond in front of Qin Liangyu's room.

"As the daughter of a renowned general in this city, is this your attitude? It doesn't reflect that you are from a noble family!" General Qin reprimanded his daughter.

That atmosphere made Liangyu remember when he was a teenager. Where he was naughty and often came home late because his time was spent playing. Liangyu's late parents would scold him until he fell asleep because she was so tired of being scolded all the time.

'I miss my parents. Qin Liangyu was born as a rich young lady, while I, Bai Liangyu, am a simple girl. But at least my parents love me very much,' Liangyu thought.

Being orphaned at a young age hit Bai Liangyu hard. Rented out by circumstances, then often received unpleasant treatment from his relatives. However, this girl still has an adopted older sister who loves her very much. Just like Qin Liangyu who has a very good older sister.

"Your marriage almost failed because you were a stupid girl who was illiterate and had no other skills. What would the Emperor say if he knew that my daughter was not only stupid?" General Qin was angry.

"Still have this kind of wild attitude. Do you want to dig your own father's grave?" he continued.

"Ah, Mr. Qin. Don't be too hard on Liangyu. After all, she is the future princess (wife) of the fourth prince," Li Na concubine, the mother of Liangxi, opened her mouth.

"She really didn't want to go to school with her other sisters. So, it wasn't Master Qin's fault. It was her own fault for not wanting to go to school," even Haifeng's concubine was no less.

'So I'm illiterate in this era? Oh my, what did Qin Liangyu do during her life?' Liangyu's mind began to stir.

Liangyu then focused Qin Liangyu's memory to remember why she didn't go to academics like other official princesses. After remembering, Liangyu began to sigh. 'Qin Liangyu is stupid because of all of them.'

"Haifeng's Mother, Li Na's Mother, Didn't you say last year that I—" Before Liangyu could finish his sentence, Concubine Haifeng immediately cut him off.

"Aiyoo … I never said anything. You said, if you want to enter the academy next year. That's why you didn't want to enter the academy last year because you weren't ready, right?" Concubine Haifeng.

"What? So you're just not ready to go to the academy? Liangyu, what makes you not ready to study? How old are you now? How are you going to be the wife of the fourth prince in the future?" asked General Qin.

Liangyu just raised his eyebrows. Feeling surprised by the Qin family who felt strange. How could it not be strange? A legitimate daughter of a famous great general, apparently did not have enough attention from her own father. Her life was always controlled by the two concubines in her house. Making Liangyu a girl who has no skills.

Due to coming home late, Liangyu was punished for copying the house rules book as usual. Even though he couldn't write or read when she was alive.

"Miss, why are you silent? Is there something wrong with the paper?" Youyou asked.

The paper in front of Liangyu made him even more clueless about the atmosphere in the Qin family residence.

"I still feel something is strange. If I can't read and write, so all this time I was punished for copying the rules in the house... how? Tell me, this is strange, isn't it?" Liangyu asked.

"It was me who wrote for you all this time, Miss. Don't you remember?" Youyou said.

Bai Liangyu was even more surprised. "Wow, even a servant can read and write, why can't I? Huh?"

From here, Bai Liangyu felt lucky that he could still study in the midst of his simple family life. In fact, he often won the overall championship, until he got any achievement. There are also quite a few awards received while being a student.

"Let me write it myself. You go to sleep. Just copying one page is easy for me," Liangyu said, snatching the brush from his personal servant's hand.

"But, Miss. You can't read or write, how are you going to undergo this punishment?" Youyou asked, worried. "Even when I taught you to read, you were already pessimistic," she added.

"Go out and rest. I'll write it myself. Don't ask too many questions." Liangyu ordered, his gaze so serious, making Youyou feel worried.

Youyou became suspicious of the young lady's behavior. Unlike before, her behavior, even her speech, was very different. Youyou felt that this young lady was not the Qin Liangyu she knew. Serving her young lady since she was 6 years old. Of course Youyou knows her young lady's nature and character very well.

"Whatever it is, I just hope for the best for Miss. Hopefully, the one inside is indeed Miss, the second daughter of General Qin."

Without waiting much time, Liangyu managed to complete his sentence. This time, it was not Youyou who wrote it. 'This way, everyone at home will be surprised.' she thought.

"How can a little maid like Youyou be able to read and write? I, as the second miss of a noble and respected family, don't seem to have any abilities," Liangyu complained.

After closing a piece of paper on the table, Liangyu immediately lay down on the bed. Sleeping with such a high pillow made the girl very annoyed. Until, the thick, perfectly rectangular pillow was thrown by him until it hit the bookshelf.

"What's that?"

"Aish, damn it. Why did it hit the bookshelf?" She muttered.

Instead of getting up and tidying up the scattered books, Liangyu pulled the blanket up to cover his entire body. Immediately went to dreamland, and hoped that when he opened his eyes, he would be back.

Back to modern times, so she doesn't have to bother attracting the attention of the fourth prince and clashing with her two sisters. Also two evil money concubines.
