Chapter 4 - DEPARTURE

Ok, so Fenix was as always good at flying. The best guy to ask for help getting this of the top shelves. But here is the thing, he sucked at landing trust me I know. So, as we came in for the landing at Eco sector, Fenix faltered and we began descending, fast.

"Braise for impact," he warned.

"Am going to kill you Fenix!" I threatened. He just chucked before letting me go and he proceeded to crush into a bush, head first. Like a cat I somehow managed to land on my feet, like a cat. I then made my way to him and helped him up.

"Wow… Fenix just wow," Ela said from my left. I turned to find the whole squad staring at us, except for Author. Where was he? I wondered. I decided not inquire on it, maybe he had decided not to associate himself with all of this.

"What, you try flying with a hundred bounds of human in your arms," Fenix challenged.

"We don't have time for this you guys let's get a move on before sunrise," Kami proposed. Without further ado, we began making our way towards the dome at the furthest end. Silence filled the air, as none of us actually had anything to say. Not even the guy who was heading out into demon territory. I studied the group, they all seemed gloomy and uncertain about something. Well, they should be after all I was making my way to certain death as we knew it.

Moments later we arrived at the dome barrier. It was there that we found Author waiting.

"You guys are late," he complained. It felt kind of good to now see he hadn't abandoned me on this plan.

"Sorry we had to wait for a crash landing before we headed this way," Ela explained, folding her arms across her bosom, and giving Fenix the eyes.

"What?" Fenix complained shrugging his shoulders. Then it came to my ears. A crack, of a twig. "Guys, guys listen," I said in a low voice. They all listened, and the leaves shuffled. Everyone drew out their weapon, and so did I. Turning to study them I knew I was safe, and if we were to get caught, I could not hesitate to take them with me to the demon lands. That could be better than them being thrown into a dungeon.

Her scepter was the one that came into view first. Then she appeared, her royal white linen garments shone from where she stood, a smile on her face. Wisda.

"You were going to run away without saying goodbye?" she asked. I stepped forward and she came in for an embrace.

"Wisda… I…" I began but she cut me off.

"Its ok Light, you need to run away because you aren't safe here? I get that don't worry," she said holding me tight. I pulled away from her, then told her everything.

"So, you are going out there to get dad back?" she asked and I nodded. She hugged me again. "Go do it, bring him back to us," she said firmly. She let go then from her hand produced something, "for you journey because you know am not coming along to protect you," she said. The thing looked the size of a bean. A seed could be more accurate. Along on it were tinny vine like structures that seemed to be alive. I looked at it confused.

"Eat it," she said. I hesitated.

"Come on Light hurry we need to get you out of here ASAP," Fenix interjected from behind. I threw it into my mouth and swallowed. Then we begun to the dome barrier in front of us. I pulled from my pockets the crystal the demon girl had given me. I held it, and felt for its surface, a rough yet smooth texture. I hulled it at the barrier fast and hard. It slammed against it; a shuttering sound came into ear shot before a void appeared like the one when the demons arrived. So, this was it I was leaving home heading into the unknown, I signed.

"DEMON! HALT WHERE YOU STAND!" came a screaming voice from behind me, one that I knew very much because I had lived with it my whole life. I turned in time to see Theodorus, charge his lightning to his dual arm blades. I froze dead in my tracks. But my team on the other hand was a different story. Like men heading into battle, they charged their weapons out and ready to kill. "No! we have to run now!" I screamed out but they all turned to me, for a split second as they ran before again lashing out at my brother. I groaned before pulling out my sword, and letting my flames envelop my sword.

"Don't master," Kami warned in a tiny voice from my right. She had her bow in hand, and aiming ahead. "I can't leave you guys like this," I complained.

"Do you trust us Light?" she asked. ('Light' now that was a first)

"Yes," I answered. "Then you need to go and leave this to us," she said before firing an arrow.

"If I leave you guys, they are going to throw you guys in the dungeon," I said. She chuckled, "with a princess involved not likely," she said then turned to face me.

"I know you are scared Light but you have to go," she explained. There was some truth to what she was saying there. I was scared yes of going alone to unknown territory with no aid if I ran into danger.

"Then come with me… please I can't leave you here to get in trouble," I said. She looked into my eyes, then for a second hesitated. Suddenly she hugged me. "Master as much as I would love that, I can't we are all here fighting for you to escape not anyone else," she said tapping my back, then let go.

She had a point but my feet couldn't allow me to turn to the barrier. "No am staying to fight with you guys," I said firmly.

"You need to go sir," she said in a soft voice. I turned to her and saw her aiming her arrow. The weird part of it was that it was aimed towards the void and not at the raging battle before me. "Kami, tell me you didn't…"

"Am sorry Light… but you have to go," she said in a sad voice before firing. The invisible rope she had tied to me and the arrow yanked me backwards and I went flying. That hug she had given me earlier, was how she had tied the rope to me. I grinned as I shot back like a kite. Truly she was something else.

And as I flew out the domed kingdom, the in front of me the battle ragged on, and suddenly lightning filled my view the it all disappeared….

She sat on her throne, her eyes closed seemingly in a kind of dream. Her head rested on fist, as her wavy pink hair cascaded down. She was a fine chocolate skinned, and as sexy as a goddess all the way round her body. She wore pink linen dress that complimented her hair and eyes when open.

Suddenly her eyes shot open then a grin followed. She sat upright and stretched. "Finally…" she said, her voice lazy yet sweet like that of a shy girl. "We begun the game Demon Trigon, welcome to my domain," she said simply.

"I found her aiding Lights escape!" Theodorus said, facing her sister Wisda in the throne room. The queen was on her throne and so was Pina, who for some reason was enjoying the view in front on her. Wisda was in shackles, her arms pinned behind her back, tied in blue chains. She was on her knees but a huge grin hung on her face, like she had worn the lottery. Her white linen were I tatter, leaving most of her skin exposed.

"Yeah, play the victim here! You know as much as I do no one could have accepted light even if he was proven not to be a demon," Wisda challenged.

"Silence! You could as well be a demon yourself!" Theodorus barked.

"Oh, so like a sexy demon or…" Wisda teased. Which made his brother boil. "I say we end her, and Lights team, we have no idea if she and the others are imposter demons or not," he demanded.

"Sure, kill me then to cover up for the fact that you are a shitty brother, mm do you even know why Light went out there? Not to run for you or anything but he went out there to find dad," she said then turned to her mother. "Yes, mom dad is still out there alive and kicking and I can assure you if any one can find him that sure is Light," Wisda said bringing a chilling silence in the air.

"LIAR!" Theodorus screamed out.

"Am a liar? What about you and Pina over there?" at that Theodorus froze in his tracks, his face now emitting pure fear. "What are you talking about!" came Pina, her voice filled with pure anger.

The queen looked at her children and a wave of petty washed over her. 'If only they knew' she thought to herself. Then having heard enough she screamed, "ENOUGH!" as she stood from her seat.

"What are you all arguing about. You brother just ran away, not by choice but to a calling far greater than you think. You brother is something out of this world, a Trigon, a king of war," she said to the now stunned siblings. "Yes Theodorus, you think that Light is your competition to the throne think again. He is headed for a throne which you can never and will never comprehend," she finished and slammed her staff on the ground. The chains around Wisda disappeared, and the queen turned then left the throne room...
