But on I went, now having a idea of where to go, once again I walk though the hall now followed by the woman. As I reach the end of the long hallway having all of the stuff I had in my room with me. The man at the entrace gave me a short courteous knowing I was departing from this place.
As I was about the exit the hall I said a quick goodbye to him, after doing so I had to explain it to the woman now following me around. It was like when I arrived I had a location, I knew where I had to go. Investigations for the 2 men I had killed were still ongoing, but due to there not being any bodies they highly likely did not know if they were even killed or if they had just fled from this place. Though I dont know what magic is at all capable of and this is just speculation.
At the scene of the crime from a bystanders POV
As I look at the entrace of the city, the place where those brave guards had once stood, one of them a good friend of mine, I was sure at least he would not betray the city and run. Then suddenly the clouds seemed to almost part and through the new opening in the clouds can a tall handsome man around 2.3 meters in size and an even longer cane in his left hand, in his right he had a smaller wand. His hair went down to his shoulders and the robe he was wearing reached the ground even before he did. He was known throughout the lands as one of the only chronomancers in the world partaking in the most difficult field in magic. Until around 5 weeks ago he was the only powerful mage not allied with anyone but recently he made his own mage tower, the tower of time. His name is chronos, though his name was given to him at birth many think he sent a message to his mother in the past to tell her to name him this. He is the 17th most powerfull mage on this planet having full control over time. If you fought him he could travel back to your place of birth and kill you as a child. He could also make you age till you are so old you die of old age. He had also dabbled into the field of space magic through Protonos the inventor of space magic and the 16th most powerful mage. Protonos invented space magic and can manipulate space to this whims. His most powerful ability that he has ever shown was him separating the 18th most powerful wizards head and body, though the 18th most powerful wizard did not die he took a massive hit, and that was the wizard of protection magic with most of his protection spells up which would prevent normal magic.
Suddenly Chronos raised up his hand and spoke a complex incantation in a language I do not speak, around him the earth started reshaping suddenly from the ground some ashes came and from those ashes were born 2 men they seemed to be lazing around until someone appeared in the distance, as he got close enough the men asked him for his identification, as if to grab his id he reached into his bag and pulled out a staff and pointed it towards one of the young men, they started charging but before they could even reach the man the first one turned to ash, suddenly the man turned his staff around and a bubble appeared around him like a shield. The shield reflected all of the attacks coming at the man, suddenly he reached for the bottom of the big staff and pulled out a gem and from his belt he pulled a smaller stick like wand around the size of 2 hand ontop of eachother. Slowely the gem started glowing in the reddish colour I had seen once before and the man also vanished just after he bounced off the shield.
Chronos stood there observing from the side and reached his staff forward and the scene paused. Now you could see the particles which he had created using their bodies, now hanging still in the air. He than reached out to the image with the spatial magic he had learnt from Protons. He seemed to bend the man's figure along the fourth dimension and then slowely on a piece of paper which was now found on the ground you could see the face of the man. His hair also clearly visualized. You could even see the drop of sweat the man had on the right of his face. One of his eyes was slightly closed. Then Chronos reached for the image and pulled out his wand and aimed it at the image, from the image rose a map and on that map there was a red spot then Chronos spoke. 'here is the man you are looking for. I will not be marking him, this is only his current location, I could easily kill him right now but I will not as that would ruin everything, I could have some fun with this. If I killed him I would never have that fun so I will not kill him.
Please go on your way you band of travellers standing around here go back to your houses, then he pointed at everyone and everyone including me appeared back at their place, every homeless person was put back at their place on the street and every person currently living in a inn was back at the inn they were staying at.
Main character's POV
Slowely I approached the exit gate of the city and walked out, this time there was no request for identification they just gave me a courteous bow and wished me good luck on my journey, though they did seem to pay more attention to the woman by my side. A slight hint of lust could be seen in their eyes, they probably had not seen such a woman in forever.
