"You dare try to make me kneel!!, My name is ARIN NIGHTBANE" when I declared it, the aura of the silver dragon condensed around me, and I grew the features of the dragon. silver horns and wings grew from my head and back, my eyes turned into a slit. I could feel more connected to the mana around me.
Everyone around me was stunned, especially the female whose pressure was removed by me. suddenly I felt a pain at the area around my heart, I clutched my chest, and my draconic features stated to fade, and I lost my consciousness gradually. the last thing I felt was a soft pair of hands holding me from falling down.
< General POV>
The sky was seen from the dining hall as the sura just now broke a hole into the ceiling. six people stood stunned, and one was holding arin from falling. The atmosphere was tense, and no one moved for over a minute when the sound of a knock broke them out of their thinking.
< Vesper POV>
Seeing my grandson enter the room i was worried if the person who was sent by my friend would take it too far, but i didn't expect this. as soon as he arrived without any warning, she used mana pressure on him which would have been enough to take care of entry level monsters.
I was about to intervene as i could see that my grandson couldn't take it anymore, but nothing could have prepared me for what happened next. Silver aura broke out arin's body and a silver dragon which represented calamity appeared from that aura, next it condensed around him, and he started gaining the features of the dragon. he gradually stated losing the features of dragon and his consciousness, before I moved to catch him, 'she' caught him from falling.
"I am sorry, I went overboard, I wanted to test his limits" she said.
A huge pressure descended as soon as she said those words.
< Alice POV>
'I heard that father-in-law has arranged for a teacher for arin and there would be a test by the person who came to teach'. sitting in the dining room, we were waiting for arin to arrive, in the meantime I looked at the mysterious lady in the room, father-in-law did not introduce her, so we were waiting for him to. I could not figure out her level, her aura was totally concealed which made me almost believe that she was an ordinary person, but I disregarded that thought as soon as it came to my head, father-in-law would not get someone incompetent to teach arin.
when arin entered, i could not help but smile proudly looking at him, nothing could get me more happiness than the wellbeing of my son. when he reached the table, a huge pressure which he could not endure descended on him. I was about to move to shield him but vernon, my husband, stopped me. I heard that mysterious lady saying that this was a test, but I could not see arin struggling. Then something happened that no one expected, a silver dragon emerged from arin breaking him out of the pressure put on him. I was astonished and could not react when my son was falling, when I thought he would hurt himself, the mysterious lady caught him from falling and said "I am sorry, I went overboard, i wanted to test his limits"
I heard that and lost my control, and all my aura descended on the mansion.
< General POV>
As soon as the mysterious lady said that a huge pressure descended on the whole mansion. the source of the pressure was the lady of the house nightbanes, Alice sol nightbane, aura of different colors was moving as if displaying the anger of the person controlling them. "YOU have the audacity to say sorry when you have inflicted harm upon my son??!!!, now you will feel the same thing "as alice said that the pressure increased tenfold and an the temperature in the mansion was increasing and decreasing rapidly as ice was being formed and was being melted by the fire as soon as it formed, then she raised her hand where a small ball of red and blue color being formed.
as soon as it formed, it caused a feeling of death for all the people below her level and a sense of danger for people at her level.
Just as she was about to launch the attack on the mysterious lady, vernon spoke up "ALICE!! arin will be harmed if you launch that attack" this brought alice back to her senses and she launched the attack to the ceiling of the mansion. This caused an explosion which was seen by the whole city.
she teleported to arin being held by the lady and took him away from her "You better hope he is fine when he wakes up, else, no matter who you are i will kill you " as alice said that thunder echoed, and it started to rain as if it was the heavens decree. Alice walked away with arin in her hands.
As she left, vesper spoke "you should have kept it in reasonable limits", "Didn't you see that he has more will power than an advanced mage despite not starting his mage journey?? " She asked
"Leave, we will speak later " was the only thing vesper spoke as he started leaving in the direction alice left and lisa, arin's grandmother and vernon, arin's father glared at her and followed vesper.
She could not do anything but stare at the backs of the three as they left. she sighed and started walking out of the mansion. That day the whole nightbane territory witnessed the rise of a silver dragon ascending to sky, abruptly stop and head into the nightbanes mansion, many people started talking about it, from commoners to the nobles in the kingdom and they all knew one thing, this is the beginning of something huge.
< Arin POV>
I slowly opened my eyes and encountered the familiar ceiling of my room. "Ugh..., what happened??" I thought out loud, a soft hand could be felt on my chest, and I tried to wake up "you better not try that" came my father's voice, and i looked at him puzzled by his words. He smiled and gestured near the bed, as I turned my head, I could see my mother sleeping beside me and i realized that the soft hand I am feeling on me is my mothers. "What happened?" I asked my father, "you unconsciously used your aura under the pressure and caused a rare phenomenon" he paused and said "and scared the wits out of us, especially your mom, you have been unconscious for a whole day, and she didn't leave your side even denying the food saying she will eat when you did" he said
then i remembered the incidents that happened before me passing out, the pressure that descended on me and that pressure also tried to make me kneel. this thought made me feel anger, from my birth my parents and grandparents have taught me that it is better to die than kneel in front of anyone other than direct relatives and their teachers, and i remember the silver dragon that surged out of me, and I gained the dragon features.
I instinctively looked at the back of my right hand where a silver line was etched, not a complete dragon but just a silver line. then I remembered something important, even when the mysterious lady was trying to make me kneel, no one acted, especially grandpa, he is strict in these things, but he chose not to interfere, this got me thinking what was the identity of that lady.
unable to think of anything I asked my dad "dad, who is that lady that even grandpa chose not to act when she tried to make me kneel"
he got serious and said "her identity..."
