Chapter 1 - The Awakening Dream

Jay's life was a dull routine, wrapped in the confines of his dimly lit apartment. The walls were adorned with remnants of past failures, each one a painful reminder of what could have been. The clock struck midnight, marking the beginning of his 27th birthday.

Caption: "Delhi, Present Day. Jay's 27th Birthday."

Jay sat alone, staring at the moonlight filtering through the window. His thoughts were heavy with regret.

Jay (thinking): "Another year down the drain... Just great."

As if on cue, his mom entered his room quietly. She sat on the edge of his bed, gently patting his head.

Mom: "Happy Birthday, Jay. I hope all your wishes come true."

Jay's face softened as he looked at his mom, a kind-hearted mom, always there to support him.

Jay smiled faintly. "Thanks, Mom. You're the best."

His mom left, closing the door softly behind her. Jay lay down on his bed, the comfort of his mom's words warming his heart.

Jay (thinking): "At least Mom remembered."

His phone buzzed again, this time with a message from his dad, who worked in a different city.

Dad (text): "Happy Birthday, son. Wish I could be there with you. Keep pushing forward."

Jay (thinking): "Dad's busy, but he always has my back."

He checked another message, this one from his younger sister who worked abroad.

Sister (text): "Happy Birthday, big bro! Virtual hug from across the ocean. We believe in you!"

Jay (thinking): "Family's all I've got. No friends remembered… Figures."

The comfort of his family's words warmed his heart, but loneliness still gnawed at him as he lay down on his bed. The room slowly darkened as he drifted into sleep.

An ethereal glow began to fill the room, his surroundings blurring as he fell into a deep slumber.

Jay (thinking): "If only I could change the past..."

Without warning, his computer screen lit up, displaying a mysterious message:

Message: "You can dream of the past and change it."

Jay (thinking): "What is this? A prank?"

His phone buzzed with the same message appearing on the screen:

Message: "You can dream of the past and change it."

Jay (thinking): "This can't be real... probably some scam."

He approached the mirror, and the message appeared on the reflective surface:

Message: "You can dream of the past and change it."

Jay: "Seriously? Who's behind this joke?"

Jay tried to ignore the messages, but they continued to appear on his devices and even in handwritten notes around his apartment. Frustrated and feeling cornered by the relentless messages, he stood in front of the mirror again.

Jay (thinking): "I have nothing to lose... what if it's true?"

Reluctantly accepting the strange messages, Jay prepared for bed. He turned off his computer, put his phone on silent, and pulled up his blankets, trying to relax.

Jay (thinking): "Here goes nothing... If it's a dream, let's make it count."

As Jay closed his eyes, he felt a sense of anticipation mixed with fear. Would this dream change his life, or was it just another illusion?
