The next day, Michael was overjoyed to learn that both of his parents had finally given him permission to pursue his ambition.
Of course, their approval came with a few conditions. First of all, he had to make regular check-ins with them, those that could easily be solved through Fudge and the wooden puppet that his mother had already named 'Michael Too'.
Second, he was required to make regular visits to the estate during the holidays—something Michael had no issue with.
Lastly, Bart and Lylia were allowed to visit him again, but only after a year.
Michael found this odd; he would have welcomed them visiting him anytime they wished to, but Bart insisted on having a one-year buffer. His father wanted to make sure that Michael built everything on his own, without any intervention from the outside, for at least one year.
Since this didn't really affect him much, Michael agreed.
