A few days later, the peddlers finally took off from Neo Orcus and began their journey to the Queens region. Their rucksacks had been emptied out and replaced with Reborn products—soaps, shampoos, and most of all, chocolates and cookies.
Their targeted destination: the capital city of Angora, home to a population of about a hundred thousand humans and demi-humans alike.
The cookies had a shelf life of two to three weeks, which was perfect since their trip would take no more than a week.
Had the old Golden Road been intact, travelling through it would have taken only a few days. But with a massive crack still splitting the middle of the path, they were forced to take the long way, over the mountains and through the rugged terrain.
As experienced travellers, they were already used to these long trips, so the days went by in a flash.
