Dave pulled the little girl onto his lap and spoke in a gentle tone.
"She said she's going to take you on the bus to dinner tonight. Would you like that?"
Dave thought, since Laurent was so stubborn, he'd try to get through to their daughter. As long as she didn't want to take the bus, Laurent would have no choice.
"The bus?"
The little girl tilted her head, thought for a moment, then nodded excitedly.
"Yes, I'd like that! I've never been on a bus before. I really want to try it."
Dave: "..."
After saying that, the little girl was about to jump off his lap to pick out clothes, but Dave stopped her and patiently tried to convince her.
"Think about it—if you wear a beautiful, fashionable dress like a princess, but then you have to squeeze in with so many people, soon your dress will get dirty, and your shoes will be covered in dust. Are you sure you want to take the bus?"
