It was supposed to be a simple science experiment. You know, the kind where you mix some liquids, watch them fizz, and maybe even get a color change if you're lucky. But when Luca was involved, nothing was ever simple.
"Are we sure this is a good idea?" the MC scribbled, glancing nervously at the messy table in front of them. There were beakers, test tubes, and... something bubbling suspiciously in the corner.
Luca, as always, was unfazed. "Of course it's a good idea! It's science! It's innovation!"
Milo, who had somehow obtained a lab coat that was far too large for them, looked at the pile of unmarked bottles and jars. "Uh... what exactly are we mixing?" they asked, adjusting their glasses. "Because these ingredients aren't exactly in the textbook."
Julian was leaning dramatically over the table, inspecting the bubbling concoction. "I feel like I'm about to witness either a scientific breakthrough or a grand explosion," they said, voice full of wonder. "Either way, I'm here for it."
Lila, who had been quietly observing the chaos, added, "Just make sure you don't blow up the school, okay?"
Luca grinned, completely unfazed by the concern. "It's not going to blow up, Lila. It's going to... change the world."
The MC quickly wrote:
"Change the world or the fire extinguisher?"
But before anyone could answer, Luca threw caution to the wind and dumped a questionable substance into a test tube. The liquid inside turned a bright neon green. "Behold! The future of science!" Luca declared, holding up the tube like it was the Holy Grail.
Julian gasped, eyes wide. "It's glowing! This is either amazing or a biohazard."
As if on cue, the glowing liquid bubbled over and splashed onto the table. The beakers rattled, and everyone jumped back, except for Luca, who was too busy dramatically dodging the spill.
"This," Luca said, trying to keep a straight face, "was not part of the plan."
Milo, now standing off to the side with a very unamused look, sighed. "I told you mixing unmarked chemicals was a bad idea."
The MC scribbled:
"When did science become a reality show?"
Lila shook her head but smiled. "You guys are lucky the school's not in the middle of a chemistry emergency. Maybe next time stick to baking soda volcanoes."
Luca finally gave in and sat back down. "Alright, alright, maybe it wasn't my best experiment. But it was fun! And that's the spirit of science, right?"
Julian raised their hand. "Or it's the spirit of chaos."
The MC smiled, looking around at their friends—chaotic, unpredictable, and somehow always making life interesting. They quickly wrote:
"It's the spirit of friendship."
Luca shot them a thumbs-up. "Yeah, that's exactly what I meant!"
