Chapter 1 - 1. Officially Screwed

"Congratulations, Girlie. Still can't believe you're getting married before any of us. It's crazy,"Makisha pouted, her deep dimples on full display.

"Tell me about it. We don't even have any men in our lives right now,"Gigi, the madwoman of the group, chirped in with a laugh.

"Come off it, girls. You both know you're single because you want to. And you, Gigi. You should really quit this lifestyle. Not everybody's George, yunno?"Jenny, the bride and bestie of the two girls, spoke softly.

"Yeah, right,"Gigi drawled, looking around. "Someone's calling me. Bye!"she dashed off and Makisha laughed.

"She never listens,"Jenny sighed.

"Just leave her be. She probably just hasn't found the one yet. When she does, she'll know to let go of the past. So don't worry about that big baby and enjoy your day,"Makisha gave Jenny a reassuring smile.

"Hey, babe. Mum's looking everywhere for you, I think you should go....oh, hi there, Kisha. Think you could borrow me my _wife_?"the groom of the ceremony threw Jenny a wink and she blushed. Makisha giggled at their playfulness.

"Sure thing, Josh."

"Laters, Kisha. Let's go,"Jenny sauntered off, holding up her big, white gown.

Makisha, Gigi and Jenny had been friends since sophomore year. They'd been together ever since and now, one of them were finally getting married. Makisha couldn't feel less happy.

"Mind a drink?"a server asked, seeing she wasn't holding any drink.

"Sure,"she gave a polite smile, taking a glass from the boy and he left.

Slowly taking a sip off her drink, she couldn't help but wonder if she was ever going to hit fame. She's always been the girl behind the scenes. The one who did all the hard work and another got praised for it.

It was bound to surely end soon, but when? For her, it was taking too long already.

Makisha Ave Reynolds was a really really talented designer who worked for a popular fashion industry. She'd been working there for years and was probably more than due for a promotion but she never got one.

The feeling of her phone vibrating under her firm hold jolted her out of her reverie. She'd finished her drink mid thought so the glass was pretty much empty when she dropped it.

Gigi: Hey, Kisha. It's time for the surprise we have for her. Come over to room 6999. It's on the 6th floor. PS? HURRY!

Oh crap. She completely forgot about the mini surprise party they organized for Jenny. It was meant as a celebration for just the three girls as jenny was finally off the market.

Standing straight, Makisha ignored the huge pang happening inside her head. She looked around in search of the elevator but her partially blurry vision couldn't let her see anything.

"Excuse me,"she tapped the first person she saw. "Could you please point me in the direction of an elevator?"she asked in a drawl.

"Yes, of course. It's in that way, just around the corner. Just don't use the one with the glass door. It's VIP, the others are free,"the nice lady instructed, pointing out the exit of the event hall.

"Thanks,"Makisha managed a small smile, before turning her heels and walking out.

"Glass door....glass...door,"she kept repeating in a mumble. "The lady said to use the glass door."

What the hell did they put in her drink? I mean, sure. She wasn't the party-all-night kinda girl, but still! She'd had her own fair share of alcohol and she could at least manage seven glasses before getting drunk. Feeling this way when it was just one glass she'd had? Mention another scene that's less embarrassing.

"Found ya,"she grinned at the glass made elevator and pressed on the button beside it. She stepped in the moment it opened and started moving immediately.

Her phone rang.

"Where the hell are you, Makisha? I just heard she'll be leaving in like really-fucking-soon o'clock!"Gigi whispered-yelled into the phone.

"Calm down, will you?"Makisha stuttered slightly.

"Eww. I left you for five minutes and you're already drunk?"Gigi questioned.

"I'm not!"Makisha snapped.

"Easy, girl. Just make it quick,"she hung up and Makisha attempted to put the phone in her bag but it fell of — unknown to her.

The elevator came to a stop at the top floor which housed just one room — 9999.

"Wow. Was this where we paid for?"Makisha wowed, stepping out of the elevator and into the enormous living room.

"It's so pretty,"she spoke in this babyish voice. "But.... Gigi! Don't you think it's too expensive? Gigi?"she called out but nothing.

Makisha kept walking, not touching anything since it wasn't everything she could see. Her previously blurred vision was getting blurrier and her dizziness doubled.

"Bed...bed..."she wandered aimlessly in search of a room. On finally finding one, she walked in, dropping her bag on to the ground. The sudden heat she was feeling was second to none so she attempted taking her dress off. Her hand couldn't reach the zipper, unfortunately.

"Gigi? Come help me out here, please?"she called out desperately. She didn't hear it but the sound of running water, seized. Almost silent noises came from the bathroom before the door finally opened.

The man stepped out, clad in just a pair of Nike shorts, a small frown on his face.

Who the hell was this lady and what was she doing there....in his room? Hell, how did she even get in without swiping a card?

"Gi..."she was calling as she turned.

"Oh. Hi there, Mr. Can you please....help me take this off?"she asked meekly, sweat glistening all over her forehead.

His jaw ticked as his eyes roamed her body. She was putting on this simple, yet out stunning, blue, dinner gown. It highlighted her brilliant curves in a crazy way and all he had to do was tear it off with his bare hands.

He kept his gaze trained on her, not moving. She looked like she was in pains.

"Can you please help? It hurts,"she sniffled, a tear dropping, and then another. Soon, her makeup was gradually washing away with her tears. She kept her thighs firmly pressed on the other and he could roughly guess what was going on.

But could he really bring himself to do as much as touch her? Fuck, she was tempting. On getting out of the bathroom and setting eyes on her, all he'd wanted to do was explore every inch of her. But then, he wasn't the type to take advantage of a woman.

"Jesus, I'm dying. Help me take this thing off at least then. I'll take care of myself,"she spoke in frustration, definitely not liking the way he muted on her as she tried reaching for the zipper again.

The phone he was holding on to, rang and he picked up, not holding it up to his ear since he had his already worn earplugs connected to it.

"Boss, I'm at the door with the files you asked for,"a voice informed.

"Take it back with you. I'm in the middle of...."he trailed off, looking at the woman who was already on his bed, trying hard to ease the pains she was feeling in-between her legs.

"A situation,"he completed.

"Yes, boss,"the voice sounded confused but he hung up nonetheless.

"I really hope I don't regret this,"he mumbled, following with a low Italian curse as he approached her.

"Get this off me,"she demanded in a whine.

"And I hope you don't, either,"he whispered as he pulled her closer, slamming his lips on hers. She responded with immediate effect.

He understood. Whatever thing she'd taken through her mouth had definitely been drugged.

The harsh rays of light fought their way through Makisha's eyelids, causing her to internally wince and move away. But then...she couldn't move due to the weight resting on her.

"The hell is going on?"she asked herself internally, still not opening her eyes cause she felt a bit lazy.

"Did I get kidnapped or something?"she questioned herself but her brain probably let her know how stupid the idea was cause she brushed it off.

"What the...."she finally opened her eyes and her heart stopped. She literally felt time freeze as she stared at the hellishly hot face that was really close to her.

Worse? He had her in his hold like a protective mother would it's child in the face of danger. Double worse? He was naked and....and so was she.

"It's not.... it's not possible that..... Oh Jesus. What have I done?"she pressed her lids tightly against the other in a firm close as she silently recalled what happened last night.

"Okay, calm down Kisha. You're officially screwed,"she yelled internally. "But first, let's get the hell out of here before he wakes up cause heaven knows I can't and won't survive a second embarrassment."

Somehow managing to get away from him without his waking up, Makisha got her clothes but boy....

"Oh great. He ruined them,"she spoke with a frown, her eyes still roaming around. "But at least he spared the panties,"she mumbled walking over to his huge closet. Her jaw dropped the moment she tore it open.

"Holy Mary mother of Zelda. It's the whole of HQ in here,"she exclaimed within, her eyes darting back at the dangerously handsome stranger.

Just how rich could he be?

She stepped in anyways and got a hoodie alongside a short she felt would fit her even in the slightest cause all his clothes were so damn huge.

On putting them on, she grabbed her bag and wrote him a note before leaving, ignoring the hard pang in her chest.

"It's fine, Makisha. You're obviously not the first girl to have a night's stand with a guy she absolutely knows nothing about. It happens everyday,"she assured herself as she got in the elevator.

The sound of his blaring alarm had the man finally waking up. He was so fucking drained from work the previous night and apparently, the rest of his strength was fed upon by a certain girl who couldn't just keep her hands off him. Speaking of girl.....

His eyes wandered around the room but no signs of her. Could she be in the bathroom? He made to get up when a note caught his attention.

He grabbed it and as he read through, disappointment mixed with anger embraced him. Squeezing life out of the paper, he threw it in the nearest bin.

How could she leave without a single word? But then....at least he got her name.....

"Makisha,"it rolled off his lips in a strikingly sweet way.
