As the sun set on the town, Selene kept up with where Xavier was so he wouldn't ruin the surprise of her having their dinner placed in their room. She later tasked Harold, who was more than happy, to remain at Xavier's side to keep him away until it was time for dinner.
In his study, Xavier looked up from the paper in his hands to Harold standing still staring at him like he was some kind of play or famous art.ย
"For the last hour or so I have done my best to avoid your gaze but I cannot ignore it any longer. I see now why the other servants sometimes call you a phantom. What is it? What has Selene put you up to?" Xavier asked, knowing she was involved.
Who else would convince Harold to be away from his duties around the time of dinner?
