Selene was able to catch a glance of that surprise reaction again. Xavier did not expect this.
Curiosity certainly was dangerous since she was the one to initiate a kiss without Xavier asking for one.
Was she so curious that instead of aiming for his cheek, she gave him a proper kiss this time?
Selene liked that he was in disbelief so she could back away from him shortly after her end of the deal was done but she soon found herself pressed against the door.
It was evident that Xavier was no longer stuck on his surprise and was taking full control of the moment. Of course, he wouldn't miss the opportunity presented to him.
Selene touched his shoulder as she tiptoed so he wouldn't strain himself to lean down to her. It was her turn to be surprised by her actions.
