"For how long do you intend to stay by my side? You don't have to anymore as I have been saying for some time now," Selene said, staring at her husband.
Was there nothing for the lord of an estate to do?
"I am not upset about what happened earlier so you don't have to worry about me. I am thankful you care but I feel like I am keeping you from something," Selene said, trying her best to get rid of Xavier.
Xavier didn't budge. "Luckily for you, I am free at the moment. We should enjoy this time together."
Selene folded her lips into a thin line. She would enjoy this moment if it wasn't just Xavier sitting watching her while she read a book.
Selene closed the book since she couldn't focus on it. "Perhaps I was wrong. Maybe it is good for you to have your coffin so when you are bored you go there to lie down. It will not bother me anymore," she promised.
