"Can you stop staring already?" Selene asked, resting her head on his chest. "I don't look any different to when you last saw me."
Selene couldn't explain how she felt now. She had simply confessed but something about it made her too shy to look at him.
Selene glanced at his hand once more. It concerned her that his hand was not yet healed despite how long he was in the room. "Did you hold something blessed?"
"I did but that doesn't matter. Tell me exactly what you feel for me," Xavier said, more interested in her feelings.
Selene faced him again after she composed herself. "I am fond of you and enjoy how you care for me. I hope I am not expected to tell you this every day. If it is possible, my actions will show it. I will not say it is love yet but when it is, I will confess to that too. For now, I am open to much more growing between us."
