Xavier had one more thing to be annoyed about now since he was being stalked by a vampire with the skill to shapeshift. He had an idea of who it was that might be following him and if his guess was true then it might turn things in his favour concerning his father.
Xavier pulled his hand out of Lawrence's side and used a handkerchief to wipe off the blood. He stepped away from Lawrence, letting him suffer in peace.
It was dangerous how quickly these weapons worked which meant he had no choice but to get involved in hunting down who was behind the attacks. He wouldn't have time to enjoy his marriage with Selene if he didn't.
The thought of having to one day be away from Selene to deal with the attackers angered Xavier. Unfortunately, the only person to take his anger out on was Lawrence so Xavier retrieved the dagger to stab Lawrence once more.
