"We've got to stop meeting like this, Eugene. I'm starting to think that you're out to ruin my marriage," said Xavier.
Eugene approached the gate to speak to the pair. "How so? I haven't been in your wife's ear to say anything bad about you. She has eyes so she will see a few things."
"You come here so often now that Selene might think I am always doing something wrong. I've not long gotten married and you've constantly brought nonsense to my door. What is it this time?" Xavier asked, searching for the woman Selene once called a friend.
Eugene turned around to see who Xavier was looking for. "I can't help that there are always accusations against you and your wife. You'll be happy to know that it isn't the man you are thinking of this time."
Xavier knew that Fiona was close by. Did they honestly think he wouldn't spot her?
