Chapter 1 - Sleeping dream

Have you ever had that feeling that fills everyone at some point? That feeling of "I wish to become this."

Well, that's the feeling that permeates everyone in various forms and makes us pursue it above all else.

So, let me explain a little.

I was the type who listened to stories and read them eagerly, stayed up all night, and completely immersed myself in the universes I witnessed, heroes fighting against the demon king, supposedly weak protagonists with unimaginable strength, characters betrayed seeking revenge.

And, at some point, I developed this desire to be part of a story, to create a story, not through imagination, but by being part of it.

I wished to become a legend, one that a thousand years from now would be remembered through the name of the figure I became, and that at some point, they would seek to recover the past or something like that.

I wanted that upon hearing my name, my enemies would tremble and my successors would look with pride at what I created.

But you know, there's not much to be done. We are humans, fragile beings who, over time, dominated the world, but not by the strength of an individual, but by the group known as humanity.

You might even say there are historical figures who could be described as legends, but they are reachable and surpassed as technology advanced, I wanted to become someone unreachable, the figure of legends.

Even so, I studied compulsively, I trained my body from childhood to adulthood, I stored every piece of information and learning that seemed useful to me.

But that's just it, technology alone contained millions of times more than what I managed to gather, I couldn't have more knowledge than a cluster, I couldn't have more strength than a firearm, and now, expand that to the entire world.

Imagine the force of a hydrogen bomb, imagine all the knowledge circulating on the internet.

I did my best with the cards dealt to me, and I think it worked out.

I rejected the paths shown by my family, I followed my own path even if it meant going against those close to me.

I made connections with powerful people, I developed institutions in various fields, I grew and grew, little by little becoming a central figure in the world.

I could say I was one of the influential and famous people in the world, but I wouldn't become a legend upon dying, I would just be one of the high ranks dead from age.

Few people would consider me beyond someone great, few would fear my name or feel appreciation for it beyond the superficial.

I was old, and I had already gone through the reality shock that had long affected me, I couldn't fulfill my dream. And it was during this time that I was going through various lenses of thought, I was trying to look from diverse perspectives.

Was I someone strong? The protagonist? Was I someone good? Someone bad? I was entering an existential loop. And then, there it was, my life slipping through my hands.

My heart stopped, my life reached its tragic end.

But then, I opened my eyes, I saw clearly, my eyes weren't failing, weren't blurred, the sound entering my ears was clear, but not familiar.

The people I faced weren't in my memories. Well, actually, it had been a while.

Currently, I was a very happy child with my family, under ten in age.

And those same stories, which I had long seen, were being told in a childlike version to me, but not as fictional stories, as world history.

There was the key, the extinguished fire in me was increasing, and there I unlocked what I was missing, there was the strength I needed to subdue my enemies, live long enough, and demonstrate the strength a legend needed to become legend.

It was that, the mana that permeated the air, the energy of the world that allowed the laws of my old world to be broken.

I started reading the books of this world, in my old world, one of the knowledge I needed a lot was linguistic diversity, even though it was easy to search for documents in various languages, for connections it was necessary to have the ability to speak fluently.

Thus, I knew a dozen languages and various interpersonal skills.

It was easy to master the language of this world, for me who had the knowledge I deemed necessary to become a legend, it completely aligned with everything I witnessed.

I was born into a wealthy family, my father and mother were kind and good.

And here was what I was seeking, it wasn't difficult to find stories of legends in this world, besides being a fantasy world, it was the kind of mythological world where obtaining legends was easy.

So, what else could I do but become a legend? I laughed in ecstasy just imagining my future.
