Shadow Manipulation: Shikamaru's quirk Shadow manipulation is a quirk that allows him to as it's name suggests manipulate shadows specifically his own shadow and any shadow that touches his own be it a shadow cast by a living creature, object, or even buildings. Through his shadow he may even manipulate the movement of living creatures this manipulation of the one casting the shadow seems to be limited to living creatures. Using his manipulation of shadows, Shikamaru is capable of turning his shadows into a physical matter allowing him to attack, defend against and restrain targets. He can also create clones using shadows who can live for an indefinite amount of time, they are capable of independent action and thought from the host and do not require food or water, remaining absolutely loyal to the host, while they retain his Intellectual ability they are only about a 5/10 as strong as the original host, shadow clones are capable of creating even more clones, though they are even weaker than the ones created by the host. They also have the ability to use the same quirk as the original host but to a lesser form, clones unlike the original host are not technically living creatures and as such they do not bleed or leave a corpse when they die poofing into nothingness upon death, and as they are not living beings they possess no heartbeat, and cannot be traced through methods such as Thermal sense, or seismic sense as they are seen as shadows.
