Thinking about the pros and cons, Yuuna decided to teach that demon how to cultivate.
"Come with me," she said, walking ahead.
'This maid is interesting,' Rin thought, smiling, and followed her.
They walked down a long corridor with high-quality flooring, a clear display of Luna's wealth.
Stopping at the eighth door, Rin watched as Yuuna finally opened it.
Upon entering, he saw an enormous garden filled with training equipment, both modern and ancient.
'Luna? Does that woman like to train outdoors? I can't blame her. It seems comfortable to train surrounded by nature.'
Yuuna turned to him. "Do you like it? This training room was designed by me. I was the designer. Incredible, isn't it?"
Watching her act like a proud child, Rin placed his hand on her head. "Yes, it's very beautiful."
Feeling his gesture, Yuuna was pleased, but the thought of that crazy woman made her pull his hand away quickly. "Don't touch me! I want to live!" she exclaimed, her tone desperate.
"Okay… I won't tease you anymore. So, dear Yuuna, how do we cultivate?" he asked, awaiting her response.
Yuuna composed herself, adopting an authoritative air. "Sit on the ground." Then, she pulled out a blackboard from a storage ring.
"Okay, sensei." Rin, like an obedient student, walked over to a nearby tree and sat in its shade.
Seeing him seated, Yuuna smiled. 'He doesn't even look like a demon. Seeing him like this, you'd think he's a kind man. It's all lies… He's as wicked as Luna and loves threatening this poor maid.' Sighing, she thought, 'All for money. Once we've saved enough, we'll head to Paris for a vacation.'
Imagining this, her smile widened further. Determined, she started taking her maid duties seriously.
Writing on the blackboard and explaining: "Master Rin, cultivation is like in web novel clichés, with various levels and realms. The first level is known as Qi Awakening, where the cultivator must awaken their innate energy, which can take various forms: elements, innate essence, among others."
Rin, hearing this, was surprised and raised his hand.
"Speak."
"Sensei, isn't cultivation based on spiritual energy? The energy of heaven and earth?"
"We're not in a traditional cultivation world. We're in the modern era. Here, we use the energy of the universe, which can be anything created. That's why it's also called innate essence."
"I see," he nodded, though inside he was thrilled. 'This is amazing... I want to cultivate. What will my innate essence be? It can't be something bad, right? I have the Celestial Dragon Physique, but I don't even know what it's good for besides that dual cultivation thing. Should I ask Yuuna? Yes, I should.'
"Sensei, what is my Celestial Dragon Physique good for?"
Yuuna sighed at his question. "Your physique is overpowered. It can refine any energy and transform it into pure energy. That's why those insane women kidnapped you… Speaking of which, Master Rin, thank Luna. She's always protected you. If not for her, you'd have been turned into a cauldron long ago… even by men, perhaps," she concluded with a smile.
'Damn it… So, my physique is that strong? And Luna… that woman really protected me? She's so cute…' he thought, feeling warmth in his heart.
After a few seconds lost in thought, he focused again.
'From now on, it's my turn to protect her. I'll use my physique to its fullest and explore all its abilities. Starting today, I'll be a free and carefree man. And anyone who gets in my way...' He smiled sadistically, showing his white teeth. "Will be killed."
Rin's gaze turned so terrifying that even Yuuna took a step back. 'I knew it. The man Luna likes is anything but normal. I need to get out of here as soon as possible.'
"Master Rin, shall we continue?" she asked nervously.
"Yes, continue, sensei." He put aside his terrifying smile and looked at Yuuna with an eager expression.
"Okay, Master Rin. After awakening our innate essence, we need to form a core to store energy. This core is the goal of the first realm, divided into levels: small, medium, high, and perfect core. With each improvement, you can store more energy. This level is relatively easy, depending on talent. As for the other levels, I'll explain them later, once you achieve a perfect core."
Rin listened attentively, fascinated. 'This modern cultivation method that combines magic and cultivation is so ingenious.'
"Sensei, how do we awaken the innate essence?" he asked, excited.
Yuuna pulled out a green pill from her storage ring.
"Cross your legs and focus on your origin, located at the center of your brain. This is the Opening Pill. It allows a human to use one hundred percent of their brain, breaking all bodily limitations. However…" She paused, looking at him seriously. "If you fail, you might end up a fool. Even so, will you try?"
"Yes, I'm not a coward," Rin replied firmly.
"Okay, good luck. I'm here to protect you." She stepped closer and handed him the pill.
"I won't disappoint you." He took the pill, crossed his legs, and swallowed it without hesitation.
In the first few minutes, Rin felt only a slight numbness. However, as the pill fully dissolved, an unbearable pain overtook his head. It felt as if his brain would explode.
'Focus, Rin. Don't let Luna or this improvised sensei down.'
With great effort, he ignored the pain and directed all his attention to the origin in his brain. Something incredible began to happen: he felt an unusual expansion in his mind, as if the inner space was widening, opening pathways previously blocked.
Within this mental vastness, a black space began to form. In the void of his consciousness, a majestic figure emerged: an enormous golden dragon that let out an earth-shattering roar, full of authority, reverberating deep into his soul.
'My innate essence… is a dragon?' he thought, stunned, as the figure slowly faded and he opened his eyes.
