Suddenly waking up as a baby he begins to look around, he then sees a woman and a man having somewhat of a relieved expression

As they hold him up and carries him to a bathroom to wash him off

His head begins to hurt him as memories of his previous life begins to come back to him

But he had to make a decision to either save his captain who was a father like figure to him or save himself

That choice was a no brainer as he chose to save the captain instead, since he thought that he had nothing left to live for

However after dying he woke up next to a being drinking tea and watching TV

Thomas (the MC) wonders what's going on, the being surprised by this quickly fixed his image and swiftly appears in front of Thomas

Thomas instinctively tries to back away but couldn't and tries to talk to him

"Hel- Thomas

The being cuts him off

"You weren't supposed to die, to be more specific your captain was supposed to die"

Thomas confused asks what he means and if he'll be sent back

The being laughs and tells him no he's dead

And things like this happens from time to time

Thomas thinks that this is a great chance to say a cool line

He then informs Thomas that sometimes people that are supposed to die don't and someone else does instead, this normally happens when someone like in his case saves someone

It's quite rare this happens and the reason he's hear now is because the reincarnation system takes time to recognize that he died instead of the captain

'Oh so the captain should have died instead, at least I know that he's alive" Thomas thought to himself

The being smiles and decides to give him some advice for the new world he's about to get reincarnated into

First he reminds Thomas that he should enjoy his life and to spend time with the people closest to him

Second he should train his body as soon as he can and that his knowledge from his previous life will come in handy when dealing with magic

Thomas then asks the being if he could give him some knowledge, especially about food since he read that the other worlds food in animes and manwhas might be lacking

The being tells him not to worry about it

"Well it seems that times up, enjoy your life and I left you a little gift for your journey, good luck and send me prayers"
