The city was alive—opened stalls, cool breeze that chilled the bones, while tavern doors creaked open to let out bursts of laughter and music.
Qein's gaze darted from the towering spires of the cathedral in the distance to the intricate carvings on a nearby merchant's storefront. "This place... it's overwhelming," he murmured, his tone a mix of awe and wariness. "So much stone and iron. It's... different. Not just from my world, but even from that city we passed through. Nowhere as impressive as it, but still pretty amazing."
Andrew chuckled softly, glancing back at him. "That's cities for you. Built to last, even if it means choking the sky. You'll get used to it—or you won't. Either way, it's not going anywhere."
