Andrew's vision was failing him. The world seemed to swim and blur, colors smudging together like wet paint on a canvas. He could barely make out the tall figure standing before him. Long hair framed their hazy silhouette, but the details eluded him. They turned, their face indistinct, like a smudge on glass. Andrew struggled to focus, but the effort sent sharp pain lancing through his skull.
The figure was speaking. Their lips moved, but the words were distant, drowned by the rush of blood pounding in his ears. His head felt heavy, his body too weak to obey him. The edges of his sight darkened further with each strained breath. Finally, the darkness swallowed him whole.
